Well now, if ya ask me, them NFL coaches sure do make a heap o’ money! Back in my day, coaches weren’t gettin’ paid nowhere near like they are now, but I reckon it’s all ’bout them big ol’ TV contracts and the money the teams rake in. Y’see, coaching in the NFL ain’t like coachin’ a high school football team no more. It’s a big ol’ business, and the folks that run it make sure them coaches get a hefty payday. Now let me tell ya ‘bout the salaries o’ them big-name coaches.
Right now, Andy Reid, the coach for them Kansas City Chiefs, he’s at the top o’ the heap when it comes to NFL coaches’ pay. They say he’s makin’ around $20 million a year. Can ya believe that? $20 million! That’s more money than most folks could even dream of in a lifetime. And let me tell ya, it ain’t just ’cause he’s been coachin’ for a long time, but the man knows how to win. He’s led them Chiefs to Super Bowl victories, so that big ol’ paycheck’s well earned, I reckon.
Then there’s Sean Payton, the fella who used to coach them New Orleans Saints and now he’s over with the Denver Broncos. He don’t make as much as Reid, but he still pulls in a nice $18 million a year. Seems like every time a coach gets one o’ them Super Bowl rings, the money just keeps on comin’.
And I gotta tell ya ‘bout Mike Tomlin, over there with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He’s been with the Steelers for a long time, and he gets paid pretty good too. I heard he gets about $16 million a year. Not bad, huh? Ain’t no wonder he’s still coachin’ them Steelers, even with all the pressure that comes with it.
But let me tell ya, not every coach is makin’ them big ol’ checks. I heard tell that Kevin Stefanski, the head coach o’ them Cleveland Browns, he’s one o’ the lowest paid in the NFL. They say he only gets $3.5 million a year. Now, I ain’t sayin’ that’s chump change, but compared to them other fellas, that sure don’t sound like much. Maybe the Browns gotta start winnin’ a bit more, and then they can pay him like them other top coaches.
Now, there’s a whole bunch of coaches out there makin’ good money, at least $9 million a year, from what I hear. If they ain’t at the top o’ the list, they’re still doin’ better than most folks could ever dream of. The money just keeps risin’, especially if a coach can get them wins. And we all know, in football, the wins mean everything.
So, to sum it up:

- Mike Tomlin’s takin’ home $16 million a year from the Steelers.

- And a whole lotta coaches are earnin’ at least $9 million a year!
Well, I reckon that’s the way it goes in the NFL. The more wins, the more money. And if them coaches keep winnin’, them paychecks just keep gettin’ bigger and bigger. Must be nice, huh?
