Right, so I got this thing in my head. Had to track down a proper old-school LA Rams jacket. Not the new stuff they push out now. I wanted that classic look, the one you picture from back in the day.

Starting the Hunt
First off, I hit the internet. Spent hours just scrolling. Loads of jackets, yeah, but nothing was quite it. Wrong shade of blue, logo’s off, or they just felt kinda flimsy. Wasn’t the quality I was after.
So, I thought, okay, gotta go analog. Started digging through thrift stores. You know how that goes. Sifting through piles of clothes, that specific old-clothes smell. Found some decent finds, but no Rams jacket. Not the specific one I had fixed in my mind.
It was getting frustrating. Felt like I was chasing a ghost. Even asked a couple buddies who know their vintage stuff. One guy basically told me “good luck finding that one”. Yeah, real helpful. Was seriously thinking about just giving up.
Then, Bam!
And then, totally out of the blue. I was at this weekend flea market, not even looking for the jacket anymore, just killing time. And there it was. Tucked away on a rack. The exact jacket. Couldn’t mistake it.
My brain kinda short-circuited for a second. Had to double-check. Looked at the tag, the patches, everything. It was the real deal. And in pretty amazing shape too.
Snatched it up fast. Paid the seller, probably too quickly, didn’t even really bargain. Just needed to own it right then.
So yeah, now I have it. Throw it on sometimes when the weather turns. Feels right, you know? Took some actual effort, some real searching, wasn’t just a quick online purchase. Felt like I earned this one. Stupid maybe, for a piece of clothing, but feels good anyway. Finally got the job done.
