Okay, so let’s get into the Captain’s Quest event that just ran in Monopoly Go. I saw the notification pop up and decided to dive right in, see what loot I could grab this time around.

First thing I did was check out the event bar at the top. You know, see how many points I needed for each milestone and what the big prizes were at the end. Looked like the usual mix: dice, cash, sticker packs, and some event-specific tokens – I think they looked like little spyglasses or compasses this time, scattered around the board squares.
So, the goal was simple: land on the squares with those compass tokens. Easy enough, right? Well, we all know how Monopoly Go likes to play sometimes. I started off with a modest multiplier, maybe x5 or x10. Didn’t want to burn through all my dice right away. Just testing the waters, trying to get a feel for where the tokens were clustering.
My strategy was basically to aim for the clusters of tokens if I could see any coming up. Sometimes you get lucky with the rolls, sometimes you just overshoot everything good and land straight on Jail. Happened a few times, pretty standard stuff. I tried to use my dice when I had a good feeling about the next few spots having tokens.
Getting Through the Milestones
Collecting the compasses started filling up the event bar. The early rewards came pretty quick:
- Some handfuls of dice rolls
- A bit of cash to help with upgrades
- Maybe a low-star sticker pack
It felt good getting those initial boosts. Kept me going. As I progressed, the points needed for the next milestone got bigger, naturally. That’s when I had to decide whether to up the multiplier. Went up to x20, sometimes x50 when I felt particularly lucky or had a bunch of dice saved up from other tasks or free gifts.
There were definitely moments where I blew through like 500 dice and barely hit any compasses. Super frustrating! You just watch the dice count drop and hope the next roll is the one. But then, sometimes I’d hit a streak, landing on two or three token squares back-to-back, especially with a high multiplier. That really pushed the progress bar along.
I managed to get through a good chunk of the milestones. Got some decent dice hauls, which immediately got reinvested into, well, rolling more dice for the event. The cash was nice for finishing a board level. The sticker packs were okay, mostly duplicates as usual, but hey, stars are stars.
Wrapping Up the Quest
I didn’t quite finish the entire event track this time – the point requirements near the very end get pretty crazy, and my dice supply wasn’t infinite. But I got quite far, maybe snagged about three-quarters of the rewards? Hit a few of the bigger milestones which felt like a solid win.

Overall, the Captain’s Quest was a pretty typical collection event. Land on the spots, get the points, claim rewards. It’s always a bit of a gamble with the dice rolls, but it added a fun little objective while doing my usual rounds on the board. Kept things interesting for a few days. Now, just waiting to see what event they throw at us next.
