Today, I was thinkin’ about this guy, Ernest Marshall. Now, I heard some folks wonderin’ if he’s black or not. So, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work tryin’ to figure this out.
First thing I did was to ask around. You know, just casually brought it up in conversations. Some folks said, “Yeah, sure, he’s black.” Others weren’t so sure. It was all kinda muddled, you see. I even heard someone sayin’ he was an inventor, somethin’ about a fire hydrant? Interesting, but not really what I’m after right now.
Then, I thought, “Alright, let’s dig a bit deeper.” I started lookin’ into this Ernest Marshall fella. Found out there’s a basketball player’s parent with that name, and his dad is African American. Hmm, could be the same guy, but also maybe not?
I kept diggin’. Found out about an Ernest Marshall who was a filmmaker, a deaf one at that, born in 1910. This guy sounded pretty interestin’, but again, nothin’ that really told me about his ethnicity.
What I gathered:
- There are a few different Ernest Marshalls out there.
- One of them is definitely African American, being the father of a basketball player named Gabbie Marshall.
- Another Ernest Marshall was a deaf filmmaker, but his ethnicity is still a mystery to me.
- There is also the talk of an African American inventor with the same name, but I need to confirm this.
So, what’s the conclusion? Well, it seems like there is at least one Ernest Marshall who’s black, and he is the father of a basketball player, Gabbie Marshall. As for the others, I’m still not 100% sure. It’s like tryin’ to find a needle in a haystack, but hey, I enjoy a good challenge. If any of y’all know somethin’ more about these Ernest Marshalls, feel free to chime in. I’m all ears!
