Okay, let’s talk about getting my hands on the Xiphos’ Moonlight sword in Genshin.

Why I Went For It
So, I’d been hearing chatter about this sword, Xiphos’ Moonlight. Looked kinda cool, but the main thing was its passive ability – giving Energy Recharge based on the wielder’s Elemental Mastery. My Kazuha is pretty much stacked with EM, and sometimes getting his burst back up instantly can be tricky depending on the team or enemies. I thought, hey, this sword might actually be pretty useful for him. Maybe even for my Kuki Shinobu too, she likes EM as well. When I saw it pop up on a weapon banner, I decided, alright, let’s try and grab one.
The Wishing Process
You know how weapon banners can be. It’s always a bit of a gamble, especially when you’re chasing a specific 4-star. I’d saved up a decent chunk of Primogems, nothing crazy, but enough for a few pulls. Started wishing. Got the usual mix – some debate clubs, maybe a favonius weapon I already had maxed out. Did a ten-pull here, a ten-pull there. Honestly, I was just hoping to snag the Xiphos’ without spending everything or accidentally pulling the featured 5-star weapon if I didn’t want it. It’s always that little bit of anxiety, right? Is the next purple glow gonna be the one?
Finally Got It!
After maybe thirty or forty wishes, I don’t remember exactly, I saw that purple streak again. Clicked through the results, and there it was! Xiphos’ Moonlight. Phew. Felt a wave of relief, seriously. Glad I didn’t have to keep throwing primos at that banner. Just wanted the one copy to try it out.
Leveling and Equipping
Alright, sword secured. Next step: leveling it up. This part’s always a bit of a grind.
- Checked the materials needed. Okay, needed those prism things from the desert robots and some gears from Ruin machines.
- Spent some time farming those up. Teleported around, beat up some robots. Usual stuff.
- Needed weapon enhancement ores too, of course. Burned through a good stack of Mystic Enhancement Ore I had saved.
- Ascended it a few times. Got it up to level 80 initially. Decided I’d push it to 90 later if I really liked how it felt.
Once it was level 80, I immediately went to my character screen and equipped it onto Kazuha. Replaced whatever he was using before, probably Iron Sting or something.
Trying It Out
Time for the fun part – seeing how it actually performs. Took Kazuha and my usual team out into the world. Ran a few domains, beat up some overworld bosses. The difference wasn’t like, earth-shattering, but I definitely noticed his burst felt like it was ready more consistently. With all the EM Kazuha has, that extra bit of ER conversion from the sword’s passive seemed to smooth things out nicely. It just felt… comfortable. Plus, gotta admit, the sword looks pretty slick on him.
Final Thoughts
So, that’s my story with Xiphos’ Moonlight. It took some wishing, some farming, but yeah, I’m happy I got it. It does exactly what I hoped it would: turns Kazuha’s high EM into useful Energy Recharge. Makes rotations feel a bit smoother. Definitely a solid support sword if you have characters who build a lot of Elemental Mastery and appreciate having their burst up often. Glad I decided to pull for it back then.
