Alright, let me tell you how I got that Shenhe skin. It wasn’t super straightforward, but I managed it.
Getting Started
First thing, I logged into the game like usual. You know, daily routine. Then I saw the notification pop up – new event, and bam, there was the picture. Shenhe’s new outfit. Looked pretty cool, gotta say. So, naturally, I clicked on it right away to see what the deal was.
Checked the event page. Seemed like one of those collection things. You do tasks, get some special event currency, and then trade it in. Classic stuff. I looked at the amount needed for the skin. Seemed like a fair bit of grinding, not gonna lie. Made me think for a second if I had the time.
The Grind Phase
Decided to go for it. What else am I gonna do, right? So, I started tackling the event tasks. They were spread out over a few days, typical.
- Did some specific domain runs they wanted.
- Collected some random materials scattered around the map.
- Beat up certain enemies that popped up for the event.
- There was also some story bit tied to it, clicked through that.
Honestly, some tasks were quick, others felt like a chore. Especially the material hunting. Running around, looking at the mini-map constantly. It gets old fast. I just put on some music and zoned out for most of it. Had to make sure I was logging in every day, didn’t want to miss any limited-time tasks.
Collecting and Claiming
Kept checking my event currency total. Slowly, slowly climbing up. There were days I barely played, just did the event stuff and logged off. Other days, I got sucked in and cleared a bunch of tasks at once. Finally, after maybe a week or so of this, I checked the event shop again. Boom. Had enough currency.
Went straight to the redeem button for the Shenhe skin. Clicked it. Got that little confirmation pop-up. Felt pretty good, not gonna lie. All that running around paid off.
Trying it On
Immediately went to the character screen. Found Shenhe, went into the wardrobe section. Selected the new skin. Looked nice in the preview, looked even better on the actual character model in the game world. Ran around with her for a bit, did a few fights. Yeah, worth the effort. It’s always nice to have something new to look at, breaks the monotony.
So yeah, that was basically it. Log in, see the event, grind the tasks, collect the stuff, get the skin. Simple on paper, bit of a time sink in reality, but hey, got the skin in the end.
