Well, let me tell ya somethin’, folks. There’s a whole lotta folks out there who think John Cena was in the military, but let me clear that up real quick. Now, John Cena, he ain’t never been in the military, not a single day. He sure does love the troops, though. He’s always talkin’ about how much he respects ‘em and does what he can to show his appreciation. But no, John Cena didn’t serve in the armed forces, not like some folks might think.
Before he became the big ol’ wrestling superstar he is today, John Cena had dreams of joinin’ up with the military. He even thought about it seriously for a while, but as fate would have it, he didn’t end up takin’ that route. Instead, he went off to college at Springfield College in Massachusetts. He played football there and did real well in it too, even bein’ a captain of the team! But no, he didn’t get his boots on the ground in any military service.
After college, John Cena didn’t go straight to the wrestling ring either. He had a few odd jobs here and there. Did some bodybuilding, worked as a limousine driver, ya know, real normal stuff for someone with big dreams. He eventually got into wrestling in 1999 and that’s where the story really starts. It wasn’t until later on, when he got real big in the WWE, that folks started thinkin’ he might’ve served in the military. That’s because of his wrestling persona, you see. His character is all about patriotism and honor, like a soldier ready to fight for his country.
Now, one of the reasons folks get confused is ‘cause of the movie he starred in. Back in 2006, he was in a movie called The Marine, where he played a Marine. That’s where a lotta folks started thinkin’ he was in the military. But again, that’s just acting, folks. Cena wasn’t ever in the real military. He was just playin’ a character on the big screen. He also did some other movies with military themes like The Wall, but that don’t mean he served.
John Cena might not have served in the military, but that don’t mean he ain’t doin’ his part to honor the men and women who do. He’s been real involved with supporting the troops over the years, doin’ things like visitin’ them overseas and helpin’ out with charity events. He’s always been a big supporter of the military, even though he never wore the uniform himself.
So, to sum it up, no, John Cena didn’t serve in the military. He was never stationed at Camp Lejeune or anywhere like that. He might’ve thought about it once upon a time, but he ended up takin’ a different path. Instead, he became a famous wrestler, actor, and a real good guy when it comes to supporting the military, even if he ain’t been one of ’em himself.
Hope that clears things up for ya, and don’t go spreadin’ no rumors ’bout ol’ John Cena bein’ in the army, ‘cause that just ain’t true!
