Well, let me tell you, if you’re lookin’ for some Johto ground Pokemon, you come to the right place. I ain’t no fancy expert, but I’ve seen a thing or two ’bout these critters. That Johto place, it’s got a whole bunch of ’em, and some are tougher than a two-dollar steak.
That Steelix, now there’s a tough one. Big ol’ snake made of rocks and steel. It is a steel/ground dual-typing Pokemon. It is tough like steel. And you know what they say, “hard as a rock.” Well, this one’s both! Hard and tough, and don’t you forget it. It’s a good one to have on your side, I tell ya.
- Steelix
- Onix
- Quagsire
Now, I remember back when, there was this Onix fella. Big and strong, just like Steelix, but without the steel part. Folks used to say he was real powerful. Then, somethin’ happened, I don’t rightly recall what, but he got even stronger, turned into that Steelix. Evolution, they call it. Makes ’em tougher, I reckon.
Now, I heard tell there’s a gym in Johto, the last one. They use them dragon-type Pokemon. Big, scary things. But you know what beats ’em? Them ice-type ones. Cold as a well-digger’s backside, they are. So, if you’re lookin’ for a good ground type to help out, maybe you need to think about an ice one too. Just a thought.
That Geodude, he’s a little fella, but he’s got some tricks. He can curl up into a ball, they call it Defense Curl. And then he can roll around real fast, that’s Rollout. He can knock them other Pokemon around like a bowling ball, I reckon. And when he gets bigger, he learns this thing called Earthquake. Shakes the ground somethin’ fierce! That’s his best ground move, they say. It’s a STAB move. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds powerful.
Some folks say that Cyndaquill is the best starter for Johto. It’s a fire type, you see. It’s good against three gyms in Johto. They say fire is super effective. I don’t know about that, but it sounds right. Fire is hot, and hot burns things. It’s like when I burn my biscuits. They get all crispy and black. That’s what happens to them Pokemon, I guess.
And then there’s Feraligatr. It’s a water type, you see. Big ol’ alligator. It’s got lots of moves. It can use Surf and Waterfall. That’s like a big wave of water. And it can use Crunch. That’s like when I bite into a hard candy. And it can use Ice Fang. That’s like when I bite into an ice cube. It’s cold and it hurts. It can beat almost anything, they say. I believe it. It’s a big ol’ alligator, after all.
Now, if you’re gonna fight that Jasmine lady, you need some ground types. She’s got them electric and steel types. They say ground is 4 times weak to our attacks. That’s a lot, ain’t it? It is like if I ate four pies instead of one. I’d be real full. They say she has Sturdy. But if you use ground types, you can beat her. It’s like using a big hammer to crack a nut. You gotta use the right tool for the job.
If you’re lookin’ for Johto Region Pokemon, you gotta focus on them. Kanto, that’s another place. You can’t get there till later. They say you should have a team with Typhlosion, Ampharos, Quagsire, Crobat, Umbreon, and Jynx. They’re strong and easy to find. That’s what they say, anyway. I think they’re strong, too. They look tough.
In my time, I’ve seen them Johto Pokemon pop up more during them Johto events. You gotta keep an eye on that calendar. You can find ’em in the wild, in them raids, and in them 7km eggs. You gotta hatch ’em all, they say. That sounds like a lot of work, but I guess it’s worth it if you want them strong Pokemon.
So there you have it. My thoughts on them Johto ground Pokemon. Like I said, I ain’t no expert. Just an old lady who’s seen a thing or two. But I hope this helps you out some. Good luck catchin’ them all, or whatever it is you young folks say these days. Just remember to be careful out there. Them Pokemon can be dangerous, you know. Don’t want you gettin’ hurt. And don’t forget to eat your vegetables. They’re good for you, just like them ground-type Pokemon are good for your team. Well, maybe not exactly like that, but you get the idea.
