Alright, so I’ve been diving deep into JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. For those who don’t know, this game’s a fighting game based on the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, and it features a massive roster of 50 characters. That’s right, 50!
My goal? To try and figure out which characters are the best, which are just okay, and which ones, well, let’s just say they’re not my first pick. Basically, I was on a mission to create my very own tier list.
Getting Started
First, I had to get my hands on the game. It’s available on pretty much everything – PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC – you name it. I grabbed it for my PS5 and started playing. The game captures that crazy, over-the-top JoJo art style perfectly, with all the vibrant colors and insane poses you’d expect.
Experimenting with Characters
Next, I started experimenting with the characters. There are so many to choose from, each with their own unique moves and abilities. Some use Stands, which are like these powerful spirit-like entities, while others use Hamon, which is this energy-based martial art. It’s a lot to take in!
- I started with the main JoJos, like Jotaro and Joseph, just to get a feel for the game.
- Then I moved on to some of the villains, like DIO and Kira, because who doesn’t love a good bad guy?
- I even tried out some of the more obscure characters, just to see what they could do.
Battling It Out
I spent hours battling it out in the game’s various modes. There are over 100 battles, each with different settings and conditions. Some battles were easy, some were tough, and some were just downright crazy. I really like the various modes, I can get special in-game cosmetics, voice overs, and poses!
During these battles, I started to notice patterns. Some characters were consistently winning, while others were struggling. That’s when I really started to think about the tier list.
Forming the Tier List
Creating a tier list isn’t easy. It’s not just about who wins the most; it’s also about how easy they are to use, how versatile they are, and how they match up against other characters. I spent a lot of time taking notes, comparing characters, and re-evaluating my choices.
Finally, after much deliberation, I had my tier list. I’m not gonna say it’s definitive – everyone’s gonna have their own opinions – but I feel pretty good about it. It was a lot of work, but hey, someone’s gotta do it, right?
So that’s my JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R tier list journey. It was a fun, challenging, and sometimes frustrating experience, but I learned a lot about the game and its characters. If you’re a JoJo fan, or just a fighting game enthusiast, I highly recommend checking it out. And if you do, let me know what you think of my tier list! I’m always up for a good debate.
