Alright, let’s talk about this Justin Herbert fella, the quarterback for the Chargers. Seems like he’s been havin’ a rough time, always gettin’ himself banged up. I swear, it’s like one thing after another with these young fellas. Always runnin’ around, throwin’ their bodies all over the place.
First off, I heard he messed up his ankle. Yeah, a high ankle sprain they called it. Sounded mighty painful to me. Like when I twisted my ankle steppin’ off the porch last summer. Took me weeks to walk right again. They said he might not play, but then, wouldn’t ya know it, he toughed it out. Kids these days, they bounce back quicker, I guess.
Then, there’s the talk about his finger. Broke it, they said. Had to have surgery and everything. Now, I ain’t no doctor, but a broken finger? That sounds bad. Can’t throw a football right with a bum finger, can ya? They said he missed a bunch of games ’cause of it. Poor fella.
And wouldn’t you believe it, then there’s somethin’ about his foot! Plantar whatchamacallit. Sounded fancy. Said he had to wear a boot. A boot! Like he broke his whole foot or somethin’. Reminds me of when my grandson broke his leg playin’ football. Had that big ol’ cast on for months.
Seems like this Justin Herbert can’t catch a break. He’s a tough one, though. They say he keeps playin’ even when he’s hurt. I don’t know about that. Seems kinda foolish to me. But I guess that’s how they do things in that football world. Always gotta be tough, gotta be strong.
- First it was the ankle. Heard he got it twisted up somethin’ awful.
- Then it was the finger. Broke it clean, they say. Had to have surgery.
- And now the foot. Plantar fasciitis or somethin’. Sounds painful.
It’s hard to keep track of all his injuries. Seems like every week there’s somethin’ new. One week it’s his ankle, the next week it’s his finger, and then it’s his foot. It’s a wonder he can still play at all. But I guess that’s why they pay him the big bucks, huh?
I heard he got hurt real bad in one game, got his legs all tangled up. Said he got pulled from behind and crunched from the front. That sounds awful. Makes me cringe just thinkin’ about it. You know, it’s dangerous, this football game. They’re always gettin’ hurt. But they love it, I guess. Can’t seem to stay away.
I tell ya, it makes me nervous watchin’ him play. Always worried he’s gonna get hurt again. But I guess that’s part of the game, ain’t it? You take the good with the bad. You hope for the best, but you prepare for the worst. And that Justin Herbert, he keeps on goin’. Gotta admire that, I suppose.
So, what’s the deal with this Justin Herbert fella? Well, he’s a good player, that’s for sure. But he’s also injury-prone, it seems. Always gettin’ banged up. It’s a shame, really. ‘Cause when he’s healthy, he’s somethin’ special. But a player’s no good if he’s always sittin’ on the bench, right? Gotta be on the field to make a difference.
I hope he gets better soon, this Justin Herbert. He seems like a nice young man. And he’s got a lot of talent. It’d be a shame to see him waste it all because of injuries. So, I’ll be rootin’ for him, even though I don’t understand half of what’s goin’ on in that football game. Just hope he stays healthy and keeps on playin’. That’s all anyone can ask for, I reckon.
But I tell ya, these football players, they put their bodies through a lot. It ain’t easy, what they do. And it takes a toll. So, let’s give ‘em a break, huh? They’re just tryin’ their best. And that Justin Herbert, he’s tryin’ his best, even when he’s hurt. So, let’s give him some credit for that. He’s a tough kid, that’s for sure.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. Now, where’d I put my glasses?
