Okay, so I saw this thing online about Justin Thomas’ arm band and how it helps with his golf swing. I’m always looking for ways to improve my game, even if it’s just a little bit, so I figured, why not give it a shot? It looked simple enough.

Getting Started
First, I had to, you know, actually get one. So I do some searching, it turned out that there are so many similar things online. And I have no idea which one I should get. Anyway, I ordered somthing looks similar, not too expensive, just in case it didn’t work out.
The Experiment
When it finally arrived, I was pretty pumped. I ripped open the package and strapped it onto my arms. It felt…weird. A little restricting, but I guess that’s the point, right? It’s supposed to keep your arms connected during the swing.
- First few swings: Total disaster. I felt like a robot, all stiff and awkward. I shanked a few, topped a couple, and generally felt like I had never swung a golf club before. I almost gave up right then and there.
- After a while: I started to get the hang of it. I loosened up a bit, focused on keeping my arms connected, and…boom! I started hitting the ball straighter. Not perfect, but definitely better than before.
- Continued practice: I kept at it, hitting balls at the range a few times a week with the band on. I even tried it out on the course a couple of times. It wasn’t a miracle cure, but I did notice a difference. My shots were more consistent, and I felt like I had more control over my swing.
The Results
So, after a few weeks of using this arm band thingy, what’s the verdict? Honestly, it’s not a game-changer, but it did help. It’s like a training wheel – it helps you get the feel of the right swing, and then you can gradually wean yourself off of it.
I am not using that thing for every shot. And I am not even keep it on me during the real game. But, I still practice with it, and do believe it helps somehow.
Would I recommend it? Maybe. If you’re struggling with keeping your arms connected, or if you just want to try something new, it might be worth a shot. Just don’t expect it to magically turn you into Justin Thomas overnight. It takes time and practice, just like anything else in golf!
