Okay, so today I decided to check out this match between Madison Keys and Hailey Baptiste. I’ve been hearing some buzz about both players, so I figured, why not dive in and see what the fuss is all about?
First, I needed to find a way to watch it. so I looked around for some live streams, but some platforms show diffrent match at the same time.
With the stream up, I started to really get into the match. Keys, with her powerful serves, was definitely making her presence felt. I mean, some of those serves were just rockets! I spent some time jotting down the speeds I was seeing, just for fun.
- Keys’ Serve Speed: Averaging around 110-115 mph, with some hitting 120+!
Baptiste, though, wasn’t backing down. She was moving well, really trying to get to every ball. I noticed her court coverage was pretty impressive. I made a note of that, too.
It was a back-and-forth kind of match. Keys would win a game with some serious power shots, then Baptiste would come back with some clever placements. I actually pulled up some stats on my phone during one of the breaks, trying to see if the numbers matched what I was seeing with my own eyes.
It was really fun to see these two different playing styles clash, I tried to understand their strategies.
In the end, Keys experience played an important role and she took the match. I think both show great tennis playing, Baptiste still got space to improve. Gotta say, it was a good use of my afternoon! Will definitely keep an eye on both of these players in future tournaments.
