Okay, so the other day I was digging around for some fun stuff to do, and I stumbled upon this thing called a “five card or seven card game crossword.” Sounds kinda weird, right? Well, I got curious and decided to give it a shot. Turns out, it’s basically figuring out what kind of card game fits the description, like a puzzle.
First, I tried to understand what these games even are. I read that SEVEN CARD GAME, also known as SEVEN CARD STUD is a classic poker game which can take a lifetime to master. And there is another game called 7 Card Draw, it’s all about making the best five-card hand from the seven cards you’re dealt. Each player gets their own set of cards, so it’s all about your own strategy and keeping an eye on others. This game was pretty complicated, so I put it aside for the time being.
Then, I went on a hunt for these crossword answers. There’s this site, a crossword solver, that had like 30 possible answers for a “5 card or 7 card game” clue! And some other sources had like 40 possible answers. I was like, “Whoa, that’s a lot!”
I started trying to sort through them. You can search by just the clue, or you can get fancy and put in how many letters you need, or even some of the letters you already know. It was kinda fun, like being a detective or something.
I also found out that one of these games, Seven-Card Stud, is one of the oldest poker games around. You gotta make the best five-card hand out of seven cards. It’s a whole thing with multiple rounds of betting. Sounds kinda intense, but cool, huh?
Another one, Seven Card Draw Poker Games, is supposed to be easy to learn but tough to master. Each player gets seven cards, and there’s a bunch of betting based on how good everyone thinks their hands are. You can set different rules for how much you can bet, too.
Basically, all these games use a regular deck of 52 cards, and you just want the best five-card hand when it’s all said and done. I spent a good chunk of time playing around with the crossword solver, trying different clues and seeing what popped up. I didn’t get through all the answers, but hey, it was a fun way to kill some time.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of “five card or seven card game crosswords.” It was a bit of a brain workout, but definitely a good time. Maybe I’ll try to actually learn how to play one of these games for real someday!
