Okay, so today I wanted to figure out this whole “little league speed conversion” thing. I’ve got a kid playing, and I’m always hearing about how fast these kids are pitching, but I wanted to know what that really means in, you know, big-league terms.

Getting Started
First, I needed some baselines. I knew I wanted a conversion method. It is not easy to search it.
The Process
I started to use the data I collected.
I felt like those numbers were close, but they weren’t quite right. It’s just simple plus and minus. So, I started messing around, trying different calculations.
Figuring It Out
After some experiments, I finally got something to calculate.
Here’s the simple way I did it:
- Take the Little League speed.
- Add some numbers to it.
- Then I got an “equal” speed.
It is not accurate at all, but it is interesting to me!
