Okay, so I’ve been a huge boxing fan for years, and Lomachenko is one of my favorites. I wanted to really dig into his only two losses, so I made it my mission to find and dissect those fights. Let me tell you what I did.

Figuring Out Where to Watch
First, I needed to actually find the fights. I knew they wouldn’t be just lying around on free streaming sites, that I konw.
- I started by checking YouTube, just in case. Lots of highlights, but no full fights, surprisingly.
- Then I remembered about some boxing forums I used to browse. I headed over there and asked around.
- Somebody pointed me towards a few different services. Bingo!
Watching and Taking Notes the Fights
I found both fights – one against Orlando Salido and the other against Teófimo López. I knew I couldn’t just watch them casually; I needed to be a bit more… methodical about it.
So, I grabbed a notebook and decided I’d watch each fight at least twice. The first time, I just watched, getting a general feel for the flow of the * second time through, oh boy, that’s when the real work started:
- I paused constantly. Every few seconds, sometimes.
- I jotted down notes. Like, “Salido landed a good body shot here,” or “Loma looks tired this round.” Really rough, quick notes, so don’t miss everything.
- I rewound sections multiple times. If I thought a particular exchange was important, I’d watch it over and over, trying to figure out exactly what each fighter was doing.
- I focused not just on Lomachenko, but also on his opponents. What were they doing that was working (or not working)?
Putting It All Together about Lomachenko 2 losses
After all that watching and note-taking, I had a pretty messy notebook. But, it was full of good stuff! So, I spent some time organizing my thoughts.
I could see some patterns start to appear.
- In both losses, Lomachenko seemed to start a bit slow.
- Both Salido and López used a lot of rough tactics.
- Lomachenko, while incredibly skilled, struggled at times with the physicality. I don’t think he’s used to guys just muscling him around like that.
It was a time-consuming process! I think watch Lomachenko fights become my mission. But I learned a ton by doing it this way. It’s one thing to watch a fight casually, and quite another to really try to study it, you know?
