You know that Luka Doncic, that basketball fella? He’s a big shot now, shootin’ hoops and all that. Well, he’s got some new shoes, Jordan shoes, they call ’em. I saw it on the TV, big old ad. They call it the Luka 3 Jordan basketball shoes. Reminds me of them fancy shoes my grandson wears, always jumpin’ around.
That Luka, he’s from some place far away, Slovenia, I think they said. He’s with that Jordan, you know, the one who used to play basketball, real famous. He got a contract with Jordan Brand, whatever that means. They signed him up good, I reckon. He’s gonna be with ’em till 2029. My, that is a long way off.
This new ad, it’s got a car in it. A Buick Grand National, they call it. Black and shiny. He’s drivin’ it around a basketball hoop, makin’ marks on the ground. Looks like he’s havin’ fun. He is driving that car like crazy, doing those skid marks. That is just like my old man used to do, always showin’ off. Young folks, they never change.

They say Luka was born in a place called Ljubljana. Sounds foreign to me. His mama owned beauty parlors. Imagine that! His daddy was a basketball coach. Guess that’s where he gets it from. They got divorced, though. Sad, ain’t it? He went to live with his mama.
They say he’s real good at basketball. Makes a lot of points. Averaged 16 points, whatever that means. Sounds like a lot to me. He played for some team called Real Madrid. That’s in Spain, right? My nephew, he went to Spain once. Said it was hot.
This Luka fella, he’s got that Jordan Luka 1s shoes, too. I saw them in a magazine, that SLAM Magazine, I think it was. Fancy, fancy. All these young folks with their fancy shoes. Back in my day, we just had plain old shoes. Didn’t need no fancy names.
They say this Luka, he’s makin’ a lot of money. $75 million! That is more money than i ever see in all my days. He got that from Jordan, for wearin’ those shoes. Imagine that! Just for wearin’ shoes. He is a good player, and that is why he got so much money. He must be real happy.
This ad, it’s got some of that Serbian stuff in it. That’s where his daddy’s from, I reckon. He’s a good boy, that Luka. Reminds me of my grandson, always full of energy. He is driving that car and playing his basketball. That is what all these young folks are doing. Good for him.
He’s with the Dallas Mavericks now. That’s a team here in America. He must like it here. America’s a good place. Lots of opportunities. Even for a fella from Slovenia. He is a big star in Dallas. They really like him.
So, that’s the story of Luka and his Jordan ads. He’s doin’ alright for himself. Got those fancy shoes, that fancy car, and all that money. Just goes to show, if you’re good at somethin’, you can make it big. Even if you’re from a little place like Ljubljana. He is a good boy, making his mama proud.

That car he’s drivin’, that Buick Regal, it looks real fast. I bet it costs a pretty penny. Not like the old cars we used to have. Those old things would break down all the time. These new cars, they’re somethin’ else. Just like those Jordan shoes. They got all the new stuff in ’em. Makes you jump higher, I suppose. I don’t know how those shoes work, but they sure look fancy.
