Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to dig into this whole Grayson Allen and Morgan Reid thing for a while now. You know, just to see what the deal is with them. It’s not every day you see a basketball player and a, well, presumably a soccer player, hook up. I finally got around to it, and here’s the scoop.
First off, I started with the basics, who is Grayson Allen? Turns out, he’s a pretty big deal in the NBA, playing for the Phoenix Suns. I mean the guy played at Duke for four years, that’s no small feat. So, we’ve got a serious athlete on our hands. Born in 1995, so he’s, you know, not ancient. Then there’s Morgan Reid. They both went to Duke, that’s where they met. Classic college sweetheart story, right?
So, I kept digging. They got engaged in February 2022. That’s cute. Then, bam, married the same year in July. They tied the knot pretty quickly once they got engaged. Fast forward to 2024, October 26th to be precise, and they have a baby girl, Emslie May. 5:14 p.m., to be exact. What a wonderful time!
I went through some of their social media stuff, it is kind of hard to find stuff on her since she’s not as famous, but there was this one post where Reid’s all excited about one of Allen’s game-winning shots, calling it a “magic moment.” It’s pretty clear she’s super into him and his career, which is awesome. I just really love that kind of support between couples.

- Married in July 2022
- Welcomed baby Emslie May on October 26, 2024
Honestly, their whole story is pretty straightforward. Two athletes meet in college, fall in love, get married, and have a kid. It’s like something out of a movie, but, you know, a real-life one. And from what I can tell, they seem genuinely happy. It’s nice to see, especially when you hear all these crazy stories about celebrity couples. They’re just two people who found each other and are building a life together. Can’t really ask for more than that, right?
I’m going to keep following them, see how their story unfolds. I am a big fan of this couple now. They just seem so solid and down-to-earth. It’s refreshing, you know? Plus, who doesn’t love a good love story? This one’s definitely a keeper.
