Alright, so, yesterday I dove headfirst into trying to figure out how long these Conquest games actually take in MLB The Show. You know, gotta grind those rewards, gotta get those packs, the whole nine yards.

First thing I did, I fired up the game, hopped into Diamond Dynasty, and started a new Conquest map. I picked a small one to begin with, the USA Conquest map. Seemed manageable, right?
My Initial Plan: I figured I’d just play every game on Rookie difficulty. Quick wins, right? Just steal fans, reinforce, attack, repeat. I was aiming for speed, not glory.
I timed my first game. It was against some weak team, and it took me about 15 minutes. Okay, not too bad. But then I realized, this map has, like, a gazillion strongholds. It was gonna take a while.
So, I started marking down the time for each game. Some were shorter, some were longer, depending on the team I was facing and how many fans they had. The stronghold games, of course, took longer ‘cause I actually had to try a little.
What I Tracked:
- Each individual game time.
- Travel time between games (loading screens are brutal).
- Time spent reinforcing and stealing fans (this adds up!).
The Grind Begins: After a couple hours, I was maybe 25% done with the USA map. I started to feel the burn. My thumbs were getting sore, and I was getting that glazed-over look in my eyes. But I was determined.
Then, I had this brilliant idea. Why not simulate some of the easier territories? I mean, if a territory only has one fan, and I have, like, fifty, why bother playing the game? So, I started simulating those easy games. This saved a bunch of time, definitely.
Mid-Conquest Realization: Simulating is your friend, but only when it makes sense. Don’t simulate against strongholds, obviously. That’s just asking for trouble.

Final Time Tally
So, after about six freaking hours (with some breaks, I’m not a robot!), I finally finished the USA Conquest map. Six hours! And that was with me trying to be efficient and simulating where possible.
My Conclusion: Conquest games can take a long time, especially if you’re going for 100% completion. If you just want the rewards, focus on the strongholds and simulate the rest. But if you’re a completionist like me… buckle up.
Tips for Speeding Things Up:
- Steal fans from teams with a lot of fans near your starting point.
- Reinforce strategically, focusing on areas where you’ll be attacking strongholds.
- Simulate easy games. Seriously, don’t waste your time.
- Take breaks! Your thumbs will thank you.
So yeah, that’s my Conquest experience. It’s a grind, no doubt, but the rewards are usually worth it. Now I’m off to start another one… maybe. Need a nap first.
