Okay, so let me tell you about this whole mess with MLB The Show cheaters. It’s been a real pain in the neck, let me tell you!
It all started when I noticed some players were just way too good. I mean, like, impossibly good. Hitting every pitch, making impossible catches, it was like they knew what was coming. At first, I thought, “Maybe they’re just that awesome?” But then, I saw the same names popping up on leaderboards, game after game, with stats that were just off the charts. That’s when I started digging.
I went online, checked out some forums and, oh boy, was that a can of worms. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one noticing this stuff. Lots of players were complaining about suspected cheaters. People were talking about all sorts of shady stuff, like players being able to see your pitch location or using some kind of tool to make perfect contact every time, like using something called Cronus Zen, I don’t really know what it is. There were even reports of a glitch that gave out diamond cards in Diamond Dynasty. Cheaters were exploiting this “success” message in the Showdown mode.
Here’s what I did next:
- Kept playing, but kept an eye out. I started paying really close attention to how these suspected cheaters played. Took notes on their in-game names and stuff.
- Gathered evidence. Yeah, I actually started recording some of my games, especially when I played against someone I thought might be cheating.
- Reported them. MLB The Show does have a way to report players. You just hit the pause button, then there’s an option to “Report Player”. So, I started reporting these guys, attaching my recordings as proof. But I do not know if it is work.
- Shared my findings. I posted on a few forums and talked to other players about what I found. Tried to warn people and, you know, get the word out.
Honestly, it’s been a frustrating experience. It sucks the fun out of the game when you know you might be playing against someone who’s not playing fair. I even heard that the show’s host died a few years back because of a drug overdose. It’s all just a big mess.
There used to be a show called “Cheaters”. A lot of it turned out to be fake. They used actors and made up a bunch of drama. I thought, “Is this what’s happening with MLB The Show too? Is it all just for show?”
Here’s the thing: I don’t know how widespread this cheating thing really is. Maybe it’s just a few bad apples, or maybe it’s a bigger problem than I think. But either way, it’s a problem. And it’s something that the game developers, Sony, really need to crack down on. They run the servers, so they should do something about this, right?
Anyway, that’s my story about dealing with cheaters in MLB The Show. It’s not a fun one, but it’s something I felt I had to share. Hopefully, things will get better, but for now, I’m just going to keep playing, keep reporting, and hope for the best.
