Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Modern Horizons 3, trying to figure out which cards are gonna be worth grabbing. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you.
First, I started by just looking at everything. You know, scrolling through the spoiler lists, watching videos, reading articles – the whole nine yards. It was overwhelming, honestly. So many cards, so many opinions.
Sifting Through the Noise
Then, I decided to narrow things down. I focused on a few key things:
- Cards that seemed obviously powerful: You know, the ones everyone was talking about right away. The big splashy mythics and rares.
- Cards that fit into existing decks: I’m mostly a Modern player, so I looked for things that could slot into my current strategies or maybe even create new ones.
- Cards that just looked fun: Hey, sometimes you gotta go with your gut, right?
After that initial pass, I started to dig deeper. I checked out price predictions, read more in-depth analyses, and even watched some gameplay videos to see how the cards actually performed.
I made a list (okay, several lists) of cards I was interested in, then I started to compare prices across different websites. I wanted to get a feel for what was actually selling and for how much.
The Real Test: Playing!
But the real test, of course, is playing with the cards. So, I proxied up a few decks (meaning I printed out fake versions of the cards) and tested them out with my friends. This was super helpful because some cards that looked amazing on paper didn’t really work out in practice, and vice versa.
Finally, based on all of that – the research, the price checking, the playtesting – I made my final decisions about which cards to pick up. It’s still early days, and the market will definitely fluctuate, but I feel pretty good about my choices. I will keep my eyes on these cards and make adjustments to acquire or sell accordingly.
