Alright, let’s talk about this Montserrat Rendon girl. I heard some folks chatterin’ ’bout her, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, you know?
First off, they call her “Monster” Rendon. Monster! Can you believe it? Sounds like somethin’ outta a scary movie. But hey, I ain’t judgin’. If that’s what they wanna call her, that’s their business. She’s one of them mixed martial arts fighters, you know, the ones that go around punchin’ and kickin’ each other.
Now, I ain’t never watched one of them fights myself. Too much ruckus for my taste. But from what I hear, this Rendon girl is pretty tough. They say she fights in somethin’ called the UFC, somethin’ big, I guess. And she’s in the bantamweight division, whatever that means. Sounds like a bunch of chickens to me, but I reckon it’s somethin’ serious.
Folks are sayin’ she’s Mexican. Well, good for her! My neighbor’s cousin married a Mexican fella once, nice as can be. Always brought over them tasty little cakes… whatchamacallits… Anyways, this Rendon girl, she’s got a record, like 6-1-0 or somethin’. Means she won six fights and lost one, I think. That’s pretty good, ain’t it? Two of them wins were, uh, what they call “decisions.” Guess that means she didn’t knock nobody out, just out-pointed ’em.
- She fights in the UFC
- They call her “Monster”
- She’s Mexican
- She’s got a good record
I saw somethin’ on the internet, that fancy thing my grandson set up for me. Said she just won a fight in somethin’ called UFC Vegas 79. Beat some girl named Tamires Vidal. Good for her, I say! Showed them what a Mexican gal can do. They sayin’ folks got big hopes for her, that she’ll be a big star or somethin’.
Now, some other fella, Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, he was in the news too. Apparently, he smashed some newcomer. That’s what they said, “smashed.” Sounds violent to me. But hey, that’s their business. They also mentioned something about “Montserrat Monsterrat” and “Montserrat Donr”. I don’t rightly know if that’s the same girl or not. These young folks and their fancy names, always confusing an old lady like me. And something about mixed martial arts. Like I said, too much fighting for my taste.
They also say this girl is tough as nails. They even said she is made to “resist.” You know, like them old pots and pans I got in the kitchen, been usin’ ‘em for fifty years, and they still work just fine. Guess that’s a good thing, right? Means she don’t give up easy.
And then there was something about a font. Montserrat font, they called it. Said you can use it for free. Now, I ain’t got no use for fancy fonts, but maybe some folks do. I just use that plain ol’ writin’ on my computer. But I guess it’s nice that this font is free. Folks like free stuff, don’t they? I reckon maybe it’s got somethin’ to do with the fighter, maybe they named it after her? Who knows these days.
Anyways, that’s all I know ’bout this Montserrat Rendon girl. Seems like she’s makin’ a name for herself in that fightin’ world. Good for her, I say. As long as she ain’t causin’ no trouble, I ain’t got no problem with her. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll even watch one of her fights. But probably not. Too much noise.
But yeah, Montserrat Rendon. Remember that name. “Monster” Rendon. Sounds like someone you don’t want to mess with, that’s for sure. And that’s about all I got to say about her. Hope it was helpful, or at least entertainin’. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about fightin’ made me hungry.
