Okay, so today I decided to tackle this “excuses are unacceptable” crossword thing. I’ve seen it floating around online, and I figured, why not? I’m always up for a good brain teaser.

First, I printed out the crossword. Yeah, I’m old school like that. I like to have a physical copy to scribble on. I grabbed a pencil (not a pen, gotta be able to erase those mistakes!) and found a comfy spot on the couch.
I started by scanning the clues. Some were super easy, like, “A short word for ‘no way’?” Come on, that’s obviously “nope.” I filled in the obvious ones first, just to get some momentum going.
- “A reason for being late” – hmm, “traffic” fit perfectly.
- “Not feeling like it” – “lazy” was my first thought, and it worked!
The Struggle is Real
Then came the tricky ones. I got stuck on a few clues that were a little more… philosophical. Like, “The opposite of taking responsibility.” That one took some serious thinking. I paced around my living room for a bit, muttering to myself.
I even Googled a couple of definitions, I’m not going to lie. I do. I think a good crossword is good. Finally, I was able to fill it out.
It took me a good hour, maybe more, but I finally finished it! I felt a sense of accomplishment, you know? Like I’d conquered a tiny, word-based mountain. Plus, it was a fun way to kill some time and exercise my brain a little.
So, that’s my crossword adventure for the day. Not exactly climbing Mount Everest, but hey, every little victory counts, right?
