Alright, so I wanted to get my hands on the Mayville football roster. It’s not like some super secret document, but finding it all nicely compiled in one place? That took a little digging. Here’s how I went about it.
Step 1: The Obvious – Google Search
First thing I did was fire up Google. I typed in “Mayville football roster,” pretty straightforward, right? I got a bunch of results, some news articles, some older stuff, even some links to general college sports pages. Nothing that screamed “HERE’S THE ROSTER YOU WANT!” So, a bit of a bust on the first try, but it gave me some ideas about where else to look.
Step 2: Checking Official School Sites
My next thought was, “Okay, let’s go to the source.” I figured the school’s athletic website would be the best bet. I searched the school and after click some button, I found a sports section. I clicked around the different sports menus and found football section, And…BINGO!
Step 3: Copy and Organize
After finding football section, I found Roster button. I clicked it.
There it was! The whole roster, names, positions, probably some other stats too.
I went through and copied all the player names and their positions. It was a bit tedious, copying each one, but hey, that’s what I wanted!
- First Name + Last Name.
- Number.
- Position.
- Other Infomation like Height and Weight.
I copied that all the player’s infomation. I used my text editor, and listed all.
Step 4: Done!
And that’s pretty much it! It wasn’t rocket science, but it did take a little bit of persistence. The main takeaway? Sometimes the most obvious place (the school’s own website) is the best place to look. I’m glad I finally have all the info.
