Alright, so the fantasy football season is just around the corner, and like every year, I was totally stumped on a team name. I wanted something Green Bay Packers-related, of course, but not the same old boring stuff. So, I started my quest for the perfect, pun-tastic Packers fantasy football name for 2023.
Brainstorming Time!
First, I grabbed a notebook and jotted down every Packers player’s name I could think of. Then, I started playing around with words. I tried combining player names, mixing them with common football terms, you name it.

- Doubs or Nothing
- Aaron it Out (even though he’s gone!)
- Watson Your Mind
I spent a good hour just messing around with words, and honestly, a lot of the names I came up with were pretty terrible. But hey, that’s part of the process, right? You gotta sift through the bad to find the gold.
Digging Deeper
Then, I decided to hit up the internet. I started by searching, and found a couple of websites that showed the lists, and then looked up some suggestions. Some were okay, some were awful, some are great and I would consider to use it for the game.
I also checked out some fan forums. That’s where things got interesting. It’s a good way to get a good names.
The Final Cut
After all that searching and brainstorming, I finally narrowed it down to a few top contenders. I kept saying them out loud to myself and see my reaction, I asked my league mates what they thought, I wanna get that feedback, you know?
It was tough one, but the name is all set.
So yeah, that’s how I went about picking my Packers fantasy football name this year. It was a bit of a journey, with a whole lot of bad ideas along the way, but I’m pretty happy with what I ended up with!
