Okay, so today I wanted to figure out how to get the IP address of a Harris device. Honestly, I’m not even 100% sure what all these things do, but I needed the IP for… reasons. Let’s just say it was for work, and leave it at that.

First, I powered on the darn thing. I mean, that’s step one, right? Can’t get an IP from something that’s off. It took a few minutes to boot up, lots of blinking lights and whirring noises. Made me feel like I was in a spaceship or something.
Next, I connected my laptop to the same network. My home network is so much easier to deal with. This device uses many unknown complex network setup.
Troubleshooting My Network Woes
I thought, “Okay, this is it, I should be able to find the IP address, right? I need to use a simple way to solve the problem.
So I tried many different things, and failed.
Finally, I realized. It’s done.I can get the IP address from the panel.
It’s not a hard thing and waste a lot of time to try and failed. I should be calm down and think carefully.
