Alright, so y’all wanna know ’bout this Raheim Sanders fella and the NFL draft, huh? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know, or what I heard tell of, anyways. This here boy, they call him “Rocket,” yeah, like one of them things that go boom and fly to the moon. Guess he’s fast or somethin’. He’s playin’ for South Carolina now, but he used to be with them Arkansas Razorbacks.
Now, they sayin’ he’s a big fella, 6 foot 2, weighin’ in at 225 pounds. That’s a big boy, let me tell ya. He’s been on folks’ radar for the NFL draft for a good three years now. Seems like a long time to be waitin’ around, but that’s how these things go, I reckon. They’re gonna draft this boy in 2025, see? They keep talkin’ about it on the TV.
- He played all kinds of positions in high school. Wide receiver, runnin’ back, even linebacker! Sounds like he could do it all, that boy.
- He’s fast too. Ran that 100-meter thingy in 11.31 seconds. That’s quick, even for a young fella.
But here’s the thing, they say he ain’t much of a pass-catcher. So, if he wants to do good in the NFL, he needs to go to a team that likes to run the ball a lot. You know, like them fellas, Nick Chubb and Derrick Henry. Give him the ball, let him run, that’s what he’s good at, from what I hear.
Now, this boy had some trouble, I heard. Hurt his shoulder, tore somethin’ in there. Labrum, they called it. Had to have surgery, poor fella. That kinda stuff can set you back, you know? Makes you wonder if he’ll be the same after that. But he’s a tough one, that Rocket. He’ll be back, you just wait and see.
They got all these folks, draft experts they call ’em, talkin’ about where he’ll go in the draft. Some say he’ll go high, some say maybe not so high. It all depends, I guess. Depends on how he plays this year, depends on if that shoulder holds up, depends on what them NFL teams need. It’s all a big guessing game, if you ask me.
They got all these websites and things, talkin’ ’bout the draft, showin’ player rankings and profiles. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that computer stuff, but my grandson, he showed me some. Lots of information, if you can make sense of it. They got this fella, Lou Pickney, he’s got a list of draft prospects. Sanders is on it, of course.
So, what’s the bottom line? Well, this Raheim Sanders fella, he’s got potential, that’s for sure. He’s big, he’s fast, and he can run the ball. But he needs to stay healthy, and he needs to find the right team. A team that’ll let him do what he does best, run like the wind. If he does that, he might just make it big in the NFL. He might just be the next big thing. Or he might not. That’s the thing about these young fellas, you never really know till they get out there and do it.
So that’s the story on Raheim “Rocket” Sanders, as best as I can tell it. He’s a strong boy with big dreams. We’ll see what happens when that draft comes around next year. Keep an eye on him, y’all. He might just be somethin’ special.
