That Baldur’s Gate 3, I heard people talking about it. My grandson plays it all the time. He says it’s a big game, lots to do. He’s always going on about making his own person in the game. Sounds fancy, don’t it?
He was showing me the other day, picking what his guy looks like. Lots of choices, that game has. He was messing with the hair, making it all sorts of colors. He told me something about bg3 black hair red, trying to get the hair just right.
He said the black hair in that game ain’t really black. More like dark brown or something. He was clicking around, and showed me this thing called “Greying.” Said if you pick that, you can make the black hair darker. Something about sliding a bar all the way up. Makes it more black, he says. Imagine that! Baldur’s Gate 3 character creation got all them options.
- You pick “Greying” under the hair color.
- Then you pick the darkest black.
- Slide that “Greying Intensity” thing all the way up.
- Then boom, black hair.
He was going on about how important it is to get the hair right. Said it makes the character look better. Young folks these days, always worrying about how they look. But I guess in that game, it matters. He also talking about “red hair”, said it is hard to make it right, too.
He showed me another thing, too. Some kind of mirror in the game. He called it a “Magic Mirror.” Said you can change how your person looks with that mirror. Any time you want, he says. Back in my day, you were stuck with what you got! But these games now, they let you change everything.
He was telling me about some lady in the game. Shadow-something, I think he called her. Said she’s the most popular one to be all lovey-dovey with. But he also said she’s a bit grumpy. Gotta be careful what you say to her, he says. Sounds like some folks I know! Always gotta watch what you say around them.
I don’t understand all this talk about video games. It seems like you’re making a whole new person in that Baldur’s Gate 3. You can pick how they look, what they do. It’s like playing God, ain’t it? This Baldur’s Gate 3 most common character seems always the white skin one, don’t know why.
My grandson, he spends hours on that game. He’s always talking about fighting and spells and all that. Sounds like a lot of work to me. I told him he should spend more time outside. Get some fresh air. But he just laughs and goes back to his game. Youngsters love bg3 black hair red, seems like a big deal.
He showed me some website, too. Called “Nexus Mods” or something. Said there’s something on there that makes the black hair even darker. He called it “Honey’s Odds and Ends.” Said it’s a separate file. Kids these days, they know all about these files and websites. It’s all beyond me. He said it can make red hair looks better, too.
I remember when he first got that game. He was so excited. Said it was a big deal. Baldur’s Gate III, he kept calling it. He was talking about making his own character, going on adventures. Sounded like a lot of make-believe to me. But he loves it. That’s all the matter. If only he can make more money in that game to buy food, I don’t need to cook for him anymore.
He’s been playing it for weeks now. Still hasn’t gotten tired of it. He even told me there are some tips and tricks about this game. He called it “metatips”. I don’t know what that means. He said he will show me some day, but I doubt I can understand those things.
I guess these video games are just how things are now. Kids don’t play outside like they used to. They stay inside, staring at screens. But I guess if it makes them happy, that’s what matters. As long as my grandson’s happy, I’m happy. Even if it is because of some game with black hair and red hair and magic mirrors. It’s a different world now. Gotta keep up, I suppose.
But still, that bg3 black hair red thing, it’s something, ain’t it? Making your own person in a game, picking their hair color. It’s all so strange to me. But hey, if it makes the young folks happy, who am I to judge? Just as long as they don’t forget to eat their vegetables and get some fresh air once in a while!
