Let me tell you, I’ve been a wrestling fan for as long as I can remember. And Roman Reigns, well, he’s been a big part of my wrestling-watching life, especially in recent years. So, I decided to do a little deep dive into his career, specifically his matches. A fun little project, you know?
I started by jotting down some of the big matches I could recall off the top of my head. I knew there was that epic one against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. I watched it live with my friends and we were screaming at the TV. Then I remembered he had some killer bouts with Kevin Owens. I wrote down their Royal Rumble match from 2017. I vaguely remembered the internet saying something about a match with Daniel Bryan. A quick search reminded me it was at Fastlane 2015, so I added that to my list.
But I wanted to go beyond just my own memory. I wanted a more complete picture. I started digging around online, reading articles, watching old clips. This was getting serious. I discovered a match from 2014. It’s The Shield versus the Wyatt Family at Elimination Chamber. The articles rated this highly, so on the list it went.
The Watching Begins
Then came the fun part – actually watching these matches. I started with the more recent ones, just to get myself warmed up. The Cody Rhodes match was even better on a rewatch. The drama, the near falls, the crowd, the interference. It was crazy and great! I went to their website, which had a ton of matches, and started just going through them chronologically.
- WrestleMania 40 vs. Cody Rhodes: This was just wild, man. The crowd was insane, and I felt like I was right there with them.
- Royal Rumble 2017 vs. Kevin Owens: What a slugfest! These two really beat the crap out of each other.
- Fastlane 2015 vs. Daniel Bryan: This was a technical masterpiece. Bryan was always a favorite of mine, and he brought out the best in Reigns.
- Elimination Chamber 2014 (The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family): This one was pure chaos. Six guys just going all out. It was awesome to see the early days of Reigns with The Shield.
After I got through these, I felt like I had a pretty good handle on Reigns’ best work. He’s had a hell of a career, from his time in The Shield to his current run as “The Tribal Chief.” He’s definitely one of the biggest stars in the business, and these matches prove it.
It was a fun little trip down memory lane, and it made me appreciate Roman Reigns even more. And he is the greatest of all time. I totally agree with what Cena said. I mean who else can make that long of a title reign interesting? Who else can make people talk about him even he is not there? Nobody. Only Roman. He’s had some amazing matches, and I can’t wait to see what he does next. He really showed me he is the best. This whole thing was a blast, and it reminded me why I love professional wrestling so much.
