Okay, so I’ve been hyped for “Solo Leveling” for a while now. You know, that Korean webtoon that’s been blowing up. I heard they were making an anime, and I was like, “Shut up and take my money!” But then it was just radio silence for a while. But today, I finally decided to set up a countdown timer to keep track of the release, I mean, who does not love a countdown timer?
First, I went online and tried to find the official release date. Turns out, it wasn’t as easy as I thought. Some sources said it’s coming out on January 5th, Japan time, some said January 4th for international fans, some said every Saturday, and some even said it will have 24 episodes. And what the hell is JST? Japanese standard time? I just took some notes there, cause I am not sure about the exact date.
Then, I went on to check out who was making it. I found out it was some studio called “Redice” and “A1” something. Sounds cool, I guess. They apparently made the original webtoon, and now they’re doing the anime. I also heard something about a two-part documentary about the making of the anime? That’s pretty neat, I gotta say. And looks like a studio called Crunchyroll will stream the anime, sounds like a cool name.
After I got all that info, I started to think about how to actually make the countdown. I mean, I could just write it on a piece of paper, but that’s boring. I wanted something more…dynamic. So I decided to make a simple webpage with a timer.
I fired up my code editor and started writing some HTML. I just made a basic page with a heading and a big, fat timer in the middle. Then I added some JavaScript to make the timer tick down. It took some messing around, but I finally got it working.
- Looked up the “Solo Leveling” anime release date online. Found conflicting information.
- Checked out the studios involved: Redice Studio, A1 Pictures, and Crunchyroll.
- Decided to make a countdown timer webpage.
- Wrote HTML and JavaScript code to create the page.
- Made sure the timer ticked down accurately.
Now, whenever I’m feeling impatient, I can just open up the page and see how much time is left. It’s not much, but it’s something. And hey, at least I learned a little bit about web development in the process, right?
Anyway, I just wanted to share my little “Solo Leveling” countdown adventure. Hope you guys are as excited as I am for the anime! I am so ready for this, so ready.
