This guy, Spieth, he’s somethin’ else with them golf sticks, I tell ya. Heard folks call ’em clubs, but they look like sticks to me. Anyways, this Spieth, he’s got a whole bunch of ’em, all shiny and new. And he sure knows how to use ’em, that’s for darn sure. Titleist, that’s what they call some of ’em. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like somethin’ you’d see in one of them picture shows. He uses the Titleist all the time, I have to say, that’s his favor for sure.
He’s got this one stick he uses for whacking the ball real far, they call it a driver. And he’s got others for when the ball’s closer to the hole. He always use Titleist TSR2 Driver, which looks good to me. I don’t know nothin’ about golf, but I know what I see. And what I see is that Spieth boy hittin’ that little white ball further than a dog can run in a day. And straight, too! Like an arrow, that ball goes.
He’s got this other set of sticks, they call ’em wedges. Now, I don’t know why they call ’em that. Maybe ’cause they wedge the ball outta the grass? I don’t know. But he’s got a bunch of ’em, all different sizes. He uses them Titleist Vokey Design SM10s, I don’t know what these letters mean, but I see them often. And he uses ’em when the ball’s in a tricky spot, like in the tall grass or in one of them sand pits. He just scoops it right out, like he’s scoopin’ butter outta a tub. This guy, Spieth, he’s got a knack for it, I’ll give him that.
Then there’s the putter. That’s the stick he uses when the ball’s real close to the hole. He just taps it in, nice and easy. Makes it look like child’s play, he does. But it is Scotty Cameron 009 prototype putter, which is not easy. He’s got a special one, all shiny and fancy. Cost more than my whole house, I bet! But he sure knows how to use it. Just a little tap, and that ball goes right in the hole. Every time. It’s like magic, I swear.
And the ball! Don’t even get me started on the ball. He uses Titleist Pro V1x. That little white ball, it’s somethin’ special too. They say it’s made just for him. Can you believe that? A ball made just for one fella? Well, I guess when you’re as good as Spieth, you get special treatment. And he sure makes that ball dance. He can make it go high, low, left, right… whatever he wants. It’s like he’s got it on a string.
Heard some folks talkin’ ’bout how much money this Spieth fella makes. More money than I’ve ever seen in my whole life, that’s for sure. They say he’s got deals with all sorts of companies. AT&T, Rolex. What is Rolex? I think it’s something like a watch or something, but not sure. FanDuel, Netjets, and Titleist and Brightspot, these fancy names. You name it, he’s got a deal with ’em. And why not? He’s the best there is, ain’t he?
- He won the Masters in 2015.
- He won the U.S. Open in 2015.
- He won three major titles.
- He played ten PGA Tour events so far in the 2024.
- He got three top-ten finishes in 2024.
I tell you what, it is not easy to win these games, I heard a lot about these. He must be a really good player, you know. I saw him on the television once, playin’ golf with another fella. Justin Thomas, I think his name was. They were both pretty good, but Spieth, he was somethin’ else. He won that day, I remember. I don’t know much about this Justin Thomas guy, I know he is a good friend of Spieth, and he also won a lot.
This Spieth, he’s from Texas, you know. They say folks from Texas are tough. And I guess that’s true, ’cause he sure is tough on that golf course. He don’t let nothin’ get to him. He just keeps his eye on the ball and keeps swingin’. He played a lot of PGA tour, I don’t know what that is, but it seems like very important.
I don’t know much about golf, like I said. But I know what I see. And what I see is a young man who’s worked hard and made somethin’ of himself. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, ain’t it? He’s a good role model, that Spieth. Shows that if you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything. Even if it’s just hittin’ a little white ball with a stick.
So, yeah, this Spieth, he’s got a whole bag full of them Titleist sticks. And he knows how to use ’em. He’s the best there is, that’s for sure. And I’ll be watchin’ him on the television, rootin’ him on. ‘Cause that’s what we do, ain’t it? We root for the folks who work hard and make somethin’ of themselves. And that’s what Spieth’s done. Good for him, I say. Good for him.
