Okay, so today I wanna talk about something kinda random but super fun that I got into: finding cool Paul George gear for kids. Yeah, like the basketball player. My little nephew is obsessed with him, and I decided to become the best uncle ever.
It all started with me googling “paul george kids” just to see what was out there. I figured maybe some jerseys or something. Turns out, there’s a decent amount of stuff if you know where to look, and some crafty DIY options too.
First stop: the obvious places. I checked out Nike’s website, since Paul George is a Nike guy. They had some kid-sized PG shoes, which were awesome. A bit pricey, but totally worth the look on my nephew’s face when he gets them. I also scoured Fanatics and NBA’s official store. They had jerseys, t-shirts, and even some mini basketballs with PG’s logo. I actually ended up grabbing a cool t-shirt from Fanatics – good deal!
Then I went down the rabbit hole. I hopped onto Etsy and started looking for custom-made stuff. People are seriously talented! I found a few shops making personalized Paul George-themed onesies for babies (a little too young for my nephew, haha) and some really cool custom-designed t-shirts. I almost bought a hoodie with a cartoon version of PG dunking, but decided to hold off. Too much swag might overwhelm him.
DIY Time! I’m not super crafty, but I figured I could at least try something. I bought a plain blue t-shirt (Clippers colors, naturally) and some fabric markers. I printed out PG’s number “13” and his logo, traced them onto the shirt, and colored them in. It looked… okay. Definitely not professional, but hey, it was made with love! My sister said it looked like “something a toddler made,” but I think she was secretly impressed.
The ultimate find: Used Gear! I remembered that a local sports consignment shop sometimes has hidden gems. So, I drove over there and struck gold! They had a slightly used, but in great condition, kid-sized Paul George jersey for dirt cheap. Seriously, like 10 bucks. Score!
The Wrap-Up: So, after all that searching, buying, and crafting, I’ve got a pretty solid collection of Paul George gear for my nephew. Shoes, jersey, t-shirt, and a questionable DIY project. I think he’s gonna freak out. It was a fun little adventure, and it reminded me how cool it is to find things that really connect with someone’s passions. Plus, now I know where to look for more PG stuff when he inevitably outgrows everything. Highly recommend diving into a niche interest like this. You never know what you’ll find!
