We threw around ideas, some really out there. “Iron Man’s Arc Reactor” was one of the first to be thrown out. “Captain America’s Vibranium Crew” also made the first cut, but it felt a bit too clunky, you know?
Then, I got to thinking about specific players and how I could mash them up with Avengers stuff. For instance, if I draft a speedy wide receiver, maybe something like “Quicksilver’s Speedsters” would work? Or if I land a powerhouse running back, “Hulk’s Smashers” has a nice ring to it, right?
Here’s what I did next: I made a list, a big one. On one side, I had all the Avengers-related stuff – characters, powers, gadgets, you name it. On the other, I listed football terms and positions, like touchdowns, interceptions, quarterbacks, all that jazz. Then, the fun part – mixing and matching!
I played around with different combinations, trying to find that sweet spot between clever, funny, and, most importantly, cool. I wanted a name that would make my league buddies chuckle but also maybe fear my team a little, you know, in a good way. It was all about striking that balance.

After a few days of tinkering, I finally settled on a few top contenders. I even ran them by a couple of friends to get their opinions. It’s always good to have a second pair of eyes, or in this case, ears.
