Okay, so, today was the day – I finally got around to adding a new member to my Bloodline database. You know, keeping track of the family tree and all that. It’s been on my to-do list for, like, forever, but I finally tackled it.

First, I dusted off my laptop – literally, it was pretty dusty. Then I fired up my genealogy software. I gotta say, finding the “add new member” button was a bit of a treasure hunt. It’s not exactly intuitive, this program.
After clicking around for a bit (and maybe muttering a few choice words), I found it! Success! A nice, clean form popped up, ready for me to fill in all the details.
The Fun Part: Entering the Info
- Name: This was easy, of course. I typed in the little one’s full name.
- Birthdate: Got that from the birth announcement. Gotta love those!
- Parents: This part was a bit tricky. I had to link the new baby to the existing entries for the parents. I did a few wrong and finally got there!
- Notes: And just some notes about the baby.
After double-checking (and triple-checking) everything, I hit the “Save” button. And… boom! There it was. The newest branch on the family tree. I’m not gonna lie, it felt pretty darn good to finally get that done.
So, yeah, that was my big accomplishment for the day. Maybe not the most exciting thing in the world, but hey, it’s one less thing on my to-do list. And now my family tree is all up-to-date. Until the next little one comes along, anyway!
