My Run-in with The Finals Queues
Alright, so I was really looking forward to jumping into The Finals the other day. Heard good things, saw some gameplay, looked like my kind of chaos, you know? Got it installed, booted it up, feeling pretty hyped.

So I hit the play button, ready to dive in. And then… the queue screen. Okay, fair enough, new popular game, probably lots of people playing. I figured I’d wait a minute or two. No big deal.
But man, that spinner just kept spinning. And spinning. Minutes started to drag on. It wasn’t like those quick queues you sometimes get. This felt different. I was just stuck there, looking at the screen, wondering if anything was actually happening.
I thought, maybe it’s just bugged out on my end? So, I did the usual stuff:
- Closed the game completely.
- Restarted it.
- Even double-checked my internet connection, which was running fine for everything else.
Tried queuing up again. Same result. Just stuck. Sometimes it would say “Connecting”, other times just “Queued”, but nothing actually happened. It felt like I was just stuck in limbo. Really frustrating, especially when you’ve set aside time specifically to play.
After trying a few more times, restarting the whole PC even, I kinda just gave up for the night. It just wasn’t worth the headache of staring at a queue screen that seemed broken. It wasn’t like a normal wait; it felt like something was genuinely wrong with the matchmaking system or whatever handles the queues.
Haven’t tried again since that night, but I hope it’s smoother now. Nothing kills the mood faster than not being able to even get into a match. Hopefully, the devs are aware and sorting it out. Just wanted to share my little struggle with it.
