Ok, I got it. Here’s my blog post about finding the largest shoe size in the NBA, based on my own (hypothetical) research and experiences.

My Quest to Find the Biggest Feet in the NBA
So, I got this random thought stuck in my head the other day: who’s got the biggest feet in the NBA? I mean, you see these guys towering over everyone, and you gotta wonder about the size of their shoes! It just seemed like a fun little project to dig into. Here’s how I went about it.
First, I started with the obvious: Google. I typed in “largest shoe size in nba history” and started sifting through the results. There were a lot of forum posts and articles listing different players, but nothing super definitive. It felt like everyone was just repeating what they’d heard from someone else. That’s when I knew I had to do my own investigating!
Next up, I went to the NBA’s official website. I figured if anyone would have access to this kind of info, it would be them. Sadly, no luck. They have player profiles, stats, but nothing about shoe sizes. Bummer.
Alright, time to get a little more creative. I decided to target specific players who I suspected might have big feet. I started making a list: Shaq, Yao Ming (retired, I know, but still a legend), Bob Lanier, maybe even some of the current giants like Tacko Fall. I then started searching for interviews, articles, anything where their shoe size might be mentioned.
This is where things got interesting. I found an old interview with Shaq where he talked about needing a size 22! That seemed like a pretty solid lead. Then I dug up another article mentioning Yao Ming’s size 18s. I started keeping a running list with player names and potential shoe sizes.
Now, I really wanted to verify these claims. So, I tried to see if I could find any of these players on social media or find shoe companies they might have partnered with. This was a long shot, but I figured it was worth a try. Luckily, I stumbled upon a few old endorsements and ads where the players mentioned their shoe sizes.
After a few hours of digging, I was finally able to piece together a pretty good list. It wasn’t perfect, but I felt like I had a much better understanding than when I started.
Here’s what I ended up with:

- Shaquille O’Neal: Size 22
- Bob Lanier: Size 22 (apparently, he and Shaq were tied!)
- Yao Ming: Size 18
- Tacko Fall: Size 22 (also contending for the top spot!)
I know this isn’t some groundbreaking discovery, but it was a fun little rabbit hole to go down. It just goes to show you, sometimes the most interesting questions are the ones you have to answer yourself!
What did I learn?
- Google can only get you so far.
- Sometimes you have to dig deep and get creative with your research.
- The NBA doesn’t track shoe sizes (at least not publicly).
Anyway, I hope you found my little adventure interesting. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to research the tallest players in WNBA history!
