Alright, so you wanna know about this Josh Taylor fella from Wilkes-Barre, huh? Lemme tell ya what I heard, the way I understand it, mind you, I ain’t no fancy reporter or nothin’.
This Josh fella, young man, only 32, they say. Just a young’un. He was out at some bar in Wilkes-Barre, havin’ a good time, ya know, laughin’ and jokin’ with his friends. They say he was even showin’ off his belly, pullin’ up his shirt and whatnot. Boys will be boys, I guess.
But then somethin’ bad happened. Real bad. Seems like there was a fight, or what they call an “altercation” these days. Someone punched Josh, right in the gut. Hard. Now, I ain’t sayin’ fights don’t happen, but this one… this one ended real bad.
- Josh went home after that.
- Maybe he thought he was alright, just a bit bruised, ya know?
- But somethin’ weren’t right.
A few hours later, just 14 or so, they say, Josh was gone. Dead. Can you believe it? Punched in the stomach and then dead. Just like that. It makes a body shiver, it does.
Now, there’s all sorts of investigations and such. The Attorney General, that’s some big shot lawyer, they’re lookin’ into it. They wanna know exactly what happened that night, who punched Josh and why. Folks are sayin’ it weren’t right, what happened. And they’re right, it weren’t.
Josh’s family, oh, they’re heartbroken. Just tore up. I saw somethin’ on the TV about them goin’ to the City Council, wantin’ answers, wantin’ justice. Can’t blame ’em one bit. If it was my boy… well, I don’t even wanna think about it. Losing a child, that’s the worst thing that can happen to a body, I tell ya.
They’re even havin’ some kind of gathering, a “Justice for Josh” thing, they’re callin’ it. Tryin’ to get people to pay attention, to make sure this don’t get swept under the rug. Good for them. Someone needs to be held accountable. You can’t just go around punchin’ folks and gettin’ away with it. That ain’t right, and it ain’t how things should be.
This Andy Mehalshick fella, I hear his name mentioned too. Don’t know if he’s the one who did it, or if he just knows somethin’, but his name keeps poppin’ up. The police, they’ll figure it out, I reckon. They got their ways, those fellas. Gotta trust they’ll do the right thing.
It’s a sad story, it really is. A young man, gone too soon. And for what? A punch to the stomach in a bar fight? Makes you think, it does. Makes you think about how fragile life is. One minute you’re laughin’ with your friends, the next… well, the next you’re gone. It just ain’t right.
So, that’s what I know about Josh Taylor from Wilkes-Barre. A young man, a fight, and a whole lot of sadness. Let’s hope they get to the bottom of it, for Josh’s family, and for all of us. Justice needs to be served, that’s for sure. Nobody deserves to die like that.
And you know, it makes you think twice about them bars and all that late-night carryin’ on. Sometimes, it’s just better to stay home, safe and sound. This world can be a rough place, and you never know what might happen. Stay safe out there, folks. That’s all I gotta say.
