Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this “Valiant Gargoyle” thing in Elden Ring, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I started off just exploring, you know, doing my usual thing, and then BAM! I stumbled upon this boss, the Valiant Gargoyle. At first, I was like, “Alright, let’s do this,” and jumped right in.
I started by noticing that this dude had a great axe and a sword at first, so that was interesting. I tried to dodge and weave, but he was quick. He would attack quickly, very hard to dodge. And then the other gargoyle came and joined the battle. The other one had a twinblade and an axe. The two gargoyles made me hard to deal with them. Then I realized I needed a plan. I tried different weapons, and different strategies, you name it. Nothing seemed to work like I wanted.
I was getting pretty frustrated, I won’t lie. Then I remembered I had some spirit ashes. I decided to summon a tanky one as soon as the battle started. The spirit ashes worked well, it distracted the gargoyles and I found a way to defeat them. I tried a lot of magic, but finally I found that the blue beam attack of the sword is useful. I spammed the blue beam and finally beat the gargoyles.
Here’s where things got interesting. I read somewhere that this gargoyle is weak to Fire, Lightning, and Holy attacks. So, I switched things up and tried imbuing my weapons with these elements. I also tried some sorceries and incantations, you know, just to see what would happen. The good news is, these did a pretty good amount of damage. But, here’s a little tip, if you’re going the melee route, try using a strike weapon. Turns out, these gargoyles are pretty resistant to most other stuff like slash and pierce.
And another thing, this D guy. If you want his armor, you gotta either take him out when you first meet him or finish his quest. I chose the latter, and after a bit of a side adventure, I found a coffin in the Waterfall Basin that was related to him. Pretty cool, right?
I also discovered that using a strike weapon or magic is a good bet. I tried slashing and piercing, but it didn’t do much. And while this boss is immune to most ailments, hitting it with Fire, Lightning, or Holy attacks really does the trick. I tried some sorceries and incantations too, and those worked pretty well.
My Strategy
Here’s how I finally beat it:
- Summon a Tanky Spirit: I summoned a tanky spirit as soon as the fight started. This helped to distract the gargoyles.
- Spam Blue Beam: I spammed the blue beam attack of the sword. It deals a lot of damage.
- Use Fire, Lightning, or Holy Attacks: I imbued my weapons with these elements to maximize damage.
- Try Strike Weapons or Magic: These seem to be the most effective against the gargoyle.
It took a lot of trial and error, but I finally managed to defeat the Valiant Gargoyle. It was tough, but it felt amazing to finally win. So yeah, that’s my story about taking on the Valiant Gargoyle. It was a wild ride, but I learned a lot, and hopefully, my experience can help some of you out there. Keep exploring, and don’t give up!
