Okay, so I’ve been a huge Formula 1 fan for years, and Max Verstappen? My absolute favorite. I decided I had to get his autograph, no matter what. It became my mini-mission.

The Hunt Begins
First, I did what everyone does – I hit the internet. I figured there must be some official way to request one, or maybe a fan club or something. I spent like, two hours, going through the Red Bull Racing website, Verstappen’s official site, and some fan forums. All a dead end, basically. It was mostly just news articles and race schedules.
Getting Creative (and a Little Desperate)
Next, I thought, “Okay, maybe I can find something on eBay?” I mean, people sell everything there, right? Sure enough, there were tons of signed items – photos, hats, even model cars. But wow, were they pricey! And honestly, I was a bit worried about whether they were real. I didn’t want to drop a bunch of cash on something that might be fake.
Thinking Outside the Box
So, I started thinking about how I could maybe, possibly, encounter Verstappen in person. I checked the F1 schedule and saw that the United States Grand Prix was coming up in Austin, Texas. I’m in California, so that’s a bit of a trip, but hey, this was important! I started looking at tickets, flights, hotels… it was all adding up fast. I was starting to feel a little discouraged.
A Stroke of Luck (Maybe?)
Then, I had an idea. I remembered seeing a post on Instagram about a racing memorabilia show happening in a city about an hour from me. I figured, “What have I got to lose?” I went to the show, hoping maybe, just maybe, someone there would have something signed by Verstappen, or at least know how to get something.
It was a long shot,I found one of the most friendly booth, and ask the owner directly.
The Result
Finally, after I asked the owner of the booth, he said: “Yes, I have. Do you want the picture? Or do you want the cap?”. Wow, I got it! It’s real, I can feel it! Of course I chose the cap! I am so happy to share this!
