Okay, so, the other day I was messing around watching TV, and I stumbled upon this show called “Breaking Bad.” I know, I know, where have I been, right? Anyway, there’s this character, Walter White, who’s become quite the topic of conversation around here.
So, I got curious. I started digging into who this Walter guy really is. I mean, the show makes him out to be this mild-mannered high school chemistry teacher, but then, boom! He’s suddenly this big shot. I wanted to see what I could find out about him outside of the show. I started watching some clips from the show. I mean, this Walter guy, he says some pretty wild stuff. Like, in one scene, he’s talking to some guy, and he’s all like, “Who are you talking to right now? Who is it you think you see?” Man, that gave me chills.
Then there’s this other scene where some other guy, Declan, asks him, “Who the hell are you?” And Walter, he just says, “You know. You all know exactly who I am. Say my name.” The intensity! It’s crazy how this seemingly ordinary teacher can be so, well, not ordinary. I kept going with my research. And then, this is where it gets a bit heavy. I found this clip where Walter is talking to his son, Walter Jr., and he’s basically preparing him for some big changes. He says, “Walter Jr., you’re my big man. There are going to be some things that you’ll come to learn about me in the next few days. But just know that no matter how it may look…” It’s like, even in these personal moments, Walter’s got this weight on him, you know?
But here’s the thing I couldn’t figure out at first: was Walter a good guy? After watching those clips and reading about him I saw some people said he was, and some say he wasn’t. So I watched some more episodes. I saw that he did some bad stuff, sure, but I saw him doing good things, too. Like, he tried to protect his brother-in-law, Hank, and even tried to save Jesse, even though it put him in danger. After seeing that, I started thinking, maybe Walter wasn’t just good or bad. Maybe he was just…complicated. He was doing what he thought he had to do, even if it wasn’t always the right thing.
I watched a few more clips, and read some articles. What I realized was that maybe the reason Walter did all this stuff was because he finally felt good at something. He was always pushed around, but as a chemist, he was good, and maybe that’s why he became this person in the show. It wasn’t about being good or bad; it was about finally feeling like he was good at something.
So yeah, that’s my little deep dive into Walter White. It was a pretty interesting journey, trying to figure out this guy from a TV show. I even found some info about how to beat him in a game, and apparently, melee weapons are a bad idea, and he’s got some repair kits to heal himself. He’s not as tough as some other bosses, but still, pretty tough. It’s funny how a fictional character can make you think so much about things.
Anyway, that’s it for my little Walter White exploration. It’s been a trip, to say the least. Hope you guys found it as interesting as I did.
