Okay, so, I wanted to figure out this whole “getting traded” thing in MLB The Show 24’s Road to the Show mode. When I first fired up the game and started my career, I got drafted to a team. Honestly, it wasn’t the team I was hoping for.
So, I started digging around, trying to find out how to switch teams. I messed around with Diamond Dynasty and some of the other modes. But I kept coming back to Road to the Show, cause that’s where I wanted to make some changes.
First, I focused on just playing the games and improving my player. You know, grinding through those matches, boosting those stats. I figured the better I played, the more likely other teams would be interested, right?

Request a Trade
I played a ton of games. I mean, a lot. Every game, I tried my best to improve my batting average, hit more home runs, and reduce errors on the field. The more I played, the better my player became.
I spent a lot of time in the training facilities, working on my player’s abilities. I focused on the areas that were most important for my position, making sure my player was getting stronger and more skilled. This part was crucial. You gotta show you’re worth trading for!
Consistency was key. I made sure to perform well in every game, not just a few. It wasn’t about having one or two great games but showing that I could deliver consistently over time. That’s what really gets you noticed.
After playing a good chunk of the season and making a name for myself, I finally got the option to request a trade. It didn’t happen immediately. I had to be patient. The game kind of lets you know when it’s the right time. You’ll see it in your messages or interactions with your agent.
When the time came, I went into the “My Ballplayer” menu and found the option to request a trade. I had a list of teams to choose from, and I picked the one I really wanted to play for. It was pretty straightforward once I got to that point.
And guess what? It worked! I got traded to my preferred team. It took some time and a lot of games, but it was worth it. Now, I’m playing for the team I wanted, and my player’s career is on the right track. It’s pretty awesome to see all that hard work pay off.
So yeah, that’s my experience with getting traded in Road to the Show. It’s not super complicated, but it does take some effort and patience. Just keep playing, keep improving, and eventually, you’ll get where you want to be. Good luck, and have fun out there on the field!
