Alright, let’s talk about how I finally got my hands on that Drang in Destiny 2. Man, it was a journey, let me tell you. I’ve wanted that gun for ages, and I tried all sorts of things to get it, and finally, I figured it out.
First, I learned that there were a couple of different Drangs, the regular one and the Baroque version. I started hunting for any Drang, just to get going. I hit up Banshee-44, that old Gunsmith in the Tower, figuring he might have it. I checked all his inventory pages but didn’t see it. Then I remembered I needed to get the Sturm exotic hand cannon first, so I went to the exotic Kiosk and got it. After buying the Sturm, I talked to Banshee, and finally, I got the OG Drang.
- Go to the Tower: This is where you’ll find Banshee-44 and the Exotic Kiosk.
- Get the Sturm: You need this exotic hand cannon before Banshee will give you the Drang.
- Talk to Banshee: After buying the Sturm, go talk to him to get the Drang.
But I wasn’t stopping there. I wanted that fancy Drang (Baroque) too. Some folks online were saying it drops from the Presage mission. So, I checked the Exotic Mission rotator to see when Presage was available. I ran Presage a bunch of times. It was tough, no doubt. I saw that completing Presage gives you a chance to get the weapon, and if you’re really lucky, you can get a red-border Drang. The trick was, you needed five of those red-border ones to craft the weapon yourself. Finally, after a lot of tries, I got all five red borders.
- Check the Exotic Mission Rotator: Find out when the Presage mission is available.
- Run Presage: Complete the mission for a chance to get the Drang (Baroque).
- Collect Red Borders: You need five red-border Drangs to craft the weapon.
Crafting the Drang (Baroque) was a whole other thing. I had to gather materials and go through this whole process at the Enclave. But let me tell you, it was worth it. Holding that crafted Drang (Baroque) in my hands, I felt like a true Guardian.
Oh, and I also heard that Xur, that shady vendor who shows up in the Tower sometimes, might sell the Drang (Baroque). But I didn’t want to wait around for him, so I stuck to grinding Presage. And when I was exploring, I found these Patrols with those triangle or stopwatch icons. I did a bunch of those too, hoping they might help, but they didn’t seem to drop the Drang. Still, it was fun running around and completing them.
So, that’s my story of getting the Drang and the Drang (Baroque) in Destiny 2. It took time, effort, and a lot of patience. But hey, if I can do it, so can you. Just keep at it, follow these steps, and you’ll be wielding that awesome sidearm in no time.
