So, I got thinking about the Raptors the other day, specifically way back around 2010. It feels like a different era now, doesn’t it? I couldn’t quite picture the whole squad from that specific season off the top of my head, especially after Bosh had just left. Felt like a weird transition time.

Naturally, I had to look it up. Pulled out my phone, opened up a browser. My first search was probably something basic, like ‘Toronto Raptors players 2010’ or something similar. You know how it is, just typing whatever pops into your head first.
Got a bunch of results, of course. Some sports sites, some basketball stats pages. I clicked around a bit, trying to find a clear list. Sometimes you get those pages with way too much info, ads everywhere, makes it hard to just see the names, you know?
Finally landed on a page that just had the roster, plain and simple. Okay, much better. It started coming back to me as I read through the names.
Okay, so who was actually playing?
Let’s see, the guys I remember seeing on the list were:
- Andrea Bargnani – Yeah, he was definitely the main guy then, wasn’t he?
- DeMar DeRozan – Just a young guy then, his second year. Wild to think about now.
- Jose Calderon – Solid point guard, always remember him.
- Leandro Barbosa – The Brazilian Blur! He was on that team.
- Amir Johnson – Always brought the energy.
- Jarrett Jack – Yep, he was running the point too.
- Sonny Weems – Had some moments.
- Ed Davis – Another young guy, rookie season I think.
There were others too, guys like Linas Kleiza, Reggie Evans, Joey Dorsey… seeing the full list was a real trip down memory lane.
It’s funny how looking up something simple like an old roster can send you back. That 2010-2011 season felt… uncertain. Bosh was gone, heading to Miami. We all kinda knew it was coming, but seeing the team without him was different. Felt like hitting the reset button. Bargnani was supposed to be the star, DeRozan was just starting out. You kinda hoped for the best but didn’t really know what to expect. It reminds me of when I moved to a new city years ago. You pack up, you go, but you have no real clue how things will turn out. You just sort of… show up and see what happens. That Raptors team felt a bit like that. Trying to figure out its new identity. Anyway, just a random thought sparked by looking up some old names.
So yeah, that was my little dive into the 2010 Raptors roster. Always interesting to look back.
