Okay, so the other day, I was hanging out with my nephew, and he was glued to his phone playing this game. I asked him what it was, and he said, “Clash of Clans, Uncle! It’s awesome!” It got me thinking, “When did this game actually come out?” I mean, it’s still so popular, it feels like it’s been around forever.
So, I started my little investigation. First, I just did a quick search. You know, the usual – typed in “when did coc come out” and hit enter.
- The search results popped up instantly. It’s amazing how fast we get information these days, right?
- I saw a bunch of different websites, forums, and articles.
I skimmed through a few of the top results. Mostly gaming news sites and some fan wikis. It looked I found the answer pretty easily.
Then I confirmed my findings. I checked a couple of different sources, just to be sure. I always do that, you know, just to double-check. Didn’t want to spread any fake news!
Turns out, Clash of Clans was initially released for iOS platforms back in August 2, 2012.And then on October 7, 2013, came out on Android. Man, that’s been a while! No wonder it’s such a big deal – it’s had years to build up a huge following.
It is intersting that the game came out so many year ago, but I just known it.
