Alright, let me tell you about going to see WWE when they came through Denver this year, 2024. It feels like ages since I last went to a live wrestling event, life just gets in the way, you know?

First off, I heard the announcement, I think someone mentioned it at work, or maybe I saw it online, can’t quite recall. But as soon as I knew they were coming to the Ball Arena, I thought, “Okay, I gotta make this happen.” It’s just different seeing it live compared to on TV.
So, the next step was getting tickets. I hopped online pretty quick because I know these things can sell out, or at least the decent seats go fast. Went through the usual process, clicked around the seating chart, trying to find something that wasn’t nosebleed territory but also didn’t require taking out a small loan. Found some seats I was happy with, section whatever-it-was, and bought them. Got that email confirmation, felt good to have it locked in.
Then came the waiting game. Marked it on my calendar. Finally, the day rolled around. Made sure I left work a bit early, knowing how Denver traffic can be a nightmare, especially heading downtown for an event. Filled up the car with gas the day before, didn’t want any last-minute stress.
Getting There and Settling In
Driving down was pretty much as expected, slow crawl closer to the arena. Found a parking garage eventually, paid the usual ridiculous event price. Seriously, parking costs are just nuts these days. But hey, part of the experience, I guess.
Walked over to the Ball Arena. You could feel the energy building up even outside. Lots of fans decked out in their favorite wrestler’s gear. Got through security, which was surprisingly quick this time. Inside, the place was already buzzing. Grabbed a quick, overpriced soda and maybe some popcorn, standard arena fare.
Found my section and my seat. The view was pretty decent, could see the ring clearly. Sat there for a bit, just soaking in the atmosphere, watching the arena fill up. People-watching at these events is always interesting too.
The Show Itself
Then, the lights went down, and the music hit. Man, that initial roar from the crowd is something else. Gets you hyped up instantly. The whole production is impressive – the lights, the giant screen, the pyrotechnics.
- The entrances were loud and flashy, just like you’d expect.
- Saw some really good matches. The energy from the wrestlers and the crowd feeding off each other is intense.
- Got to see a few of the big names, which was cool. Always fun to see them live.
- There were definitely some moments where the whole arena was chanting together.
Honestly, it’s just pure entertainment. You get caught up in the storylines, the action, the drama of it all. Even though you know it’s choreographed, the athleticism is incredible, and they put on a great show. It’s loud, it’s maybe a little silly sometimes, but it’s a fantastic escape for a few hours.

The main event delivered, lots of back-and-forth action. By the end of the night, my voice was a little hoarse from yelling, and my ears were ringing slightly from the noise, but it was totally worth it.
Headed out with the rest of the crowd, buzzing from the show. The drive home was way quicker than getting there, thankfully. Just a really fun night overall. Glad I made the effort to go.
