That Jonas Amick, ain’t that a name you heard somewhere before? Sounds kinda ringin’ a bell, don’t it? He’s one of them baseball boys, playin’ down there in South Carolina. Heard he’s pretty good for a young’un, still in high school and all. His brother, that Billy Amick, he’s the real deal, playin’ for Tennessee now. Big shot, that one.
This here Jonas, he’s got another brother, too. Drake. Plays ball, too, but different. He’s a catcher, like you see on the TV. That one, he’s playin’ down at South Alabama. Seems like the whole family’s got baseball in their blood. Their daddy, Lyndon, I bet he was a player, too. All these Amick boys, that is Billy, Drake, and this here Jonas Amick baseball. They all got the talent.
That Billy, he used to play for Clemson. Big fancy college, that is. But he moved on over to Tennessee. Heard he’s hittin’ the ball real good over there. Got a home run and a triple just the other day. That’s what they say, anyway. He was 0-for-5, not one hit, on Saturday, but he came back strong. That boy, he’s a fighter. He is a big splash in baseball.

This Jonas Amick baseball, he’s comin’ up, though. He ain’t famous like his brother Billy yet. But just you wait. He’s gonna be somethin’, I reckon. Heard he’s the best third base guy, or something like that. They got all these lists and things now, rankin’ the players. Keeps track of who’s good and who ain’t. Jonas Amick baseball, he ain’t on the big list, top 100, not yet. But he might be one day.
That Billy, he played for some team called Bodyshop Baseball. Sounds like a place where they fix cars, don’t it? But it’s a baseball team. They play all over, travelin’ around. Tough life, I bet. Always on the road. But that’s how you get good, playin’ against the best. And Billy, he’s good. Real good. I heard he was a wizard at the plate. He can hit that ball farther than anyone else.
Now this Jonas Amick baseball, he’s got big shoes to fill. His brother’s a star. But he’s got time. He’s still young. He’ll learn. He’ll get better. And maybe one day, he’ll be even better than Billy. You never know. These things happen. Brothers, always competin’ with each other. It is just like the Jonas Amick baseball movie.
That Billy, his full name is William. William Lyndon Amick. Fancy, ain’t it? Born on November 4th. Remember that day, back in 2002. Feels like yesterday. Time sure does fly when you get old. But that boy, he’s made somethin’ of himself. Playin’ baseball for a big college like Tennessee. Makes a mama proud.
I reckon this Jonas Amick baseball, he’s gonna make his mama proud, too. Just like Billy. He just needs a chance to shine. He needs to have a strong year, hit a lot of home runs, make some good plays. Then everyone will know his name. Jonas Amick. Just like they know Billy Amick.
These Amick boys, they’re somethin’ else. All that baseball. It’s in their blood, I tell ya. It is what makes them special. They are like those dolls. They are meant to play baseball. And they play it good. They do not play like those other kids. They are special. They are like the Billy doll. But they play baseball. And Jonas Amick baseball, he’s gonna be a star.
