Okay, so I decided to finally give this ‘Logan Betts’ thing a try today. Heard the name floating around, sounded like some kind of fitness challenge or maybe a specific technique someone recommended. Didn’t have much info, just the name, really.
Figuring It Out
First off, I had to figure out what it even was. Spent a bit of time searching, found a few different mentions, mostly related to some kind of physical conditioning routine. Seemed like a mix of bodyweight stuff and maybe some light weights, but descriptions were kinda vague. Decided to piece together a version based on what I could find.
So, I grabbed my workout mat, a couple of dumbbells – not too heavy, just the 15-pounders – and cleared some space in the garage. It was either that or the living room, and the garage felt more fitting for trying something new and potentially sweaty.
Getting Down to It
Alright, here’s what I ended up doing, kind of my interpretation of the ‘Logan Betts’ routine:
- Warm-up: Started with some basic stretches, jumping jacks, just to get the blood flowing. Didn’t want to pull anything trying something unfamiliar. Probably spent about 5 minutes on this.
- The Core Part: This is where I winged it based on the name. I decided on a circuit.
- Did some push-ups, as many as I could manage with good form.
- Followed that with dumbbell rows, using those 15-pounders. Focused on squeezing the back.
- Then, some squats, just bodyweight, keeping it deep and controlled.
- Finished the circuit round with planks, holding for about 45 seconds.
- Repetitions: I ran through that whole circuit three times. Took about a minute rest between each round. Man, by the third round, those push-ups were getting tough.
- Cool-down: Finished off with some more stretching, holding each stretch a bit longer this time. Focused on the chest, back, and legs since that’s what I worked most.
How It Felt
Honestly? It wasn’t groundbreaking, but it was a solid workout. Putting the different exercises together like that kept things interesting. It felt pretty balanced, hitting upper body, lower body, and core. The push-ups were the hardest part for me by the end.
Main takeaway: It felt good to just try something different, even if I had to make up parts of it based on a name. Got a decent sweat going, felt like I actually worked my muscles. Didn’t take too long either, maybe 30 minutes total including the warm-up and cool-down.
Will I do this exact ‘Logan Betts’ routine again? Maybe. Or maybe I’ll tweak it next time now that I’ve got a feel for it. It was a good session, though. Glad I finally got around to it instead of just wondering what it was.
