They say he’s a pro at that tennis game. Got up to number 25 in the world once. That’s what they call a “career-high singles ranking”. Fancy words for saying he was pretty good, I reckon. Plays with his left hand, that Mischa Zverev does. And I read somewhere, he is the son of Alexander Zverev, who is also his coach. I don’t know much about him, I just know he is the father of Mischa Zverev.
Now, this Mischa Zverev, he’s had a tough go of it, seems like. Lots of injuries, they say. Kept him from playing his best, I suppose. It’s a shame when a body can’t do what it’s meant to. He won 133 and lost 190 of them single games. Sounds like a lot of playing to an old gal like me! But he kept at it, didn’t he? That’s something, ain’t it?
Heard tell he beat some fella named Andy Murray once, back in 2017. Must’ve been a big deal, ’cause folks make it sound like it was. They called it his “biggest win”. That was at the Australian Open. Never been there myself. Too far to travel for this old lady.

So, that’s the story of Mischa Zverev, as far as this old lady knows. A tennis player from Moscow, had some good wins, some tough times with injuries. Sounds like he had a decent enough time on the court. Hope he’s enjoying whatever he’s doing now. Retired, or just playing for fun. I guess now he just stays in Hamburg. That’s where he lives, I read.
