Well, let me tell ya, Randi Henderson, she’s a strong woman, and her life ain’t all about the spotlight. Folks around here know that her husband, Duez Henderson, used to play basketball for Iowa. They’ve been together a long time now, and they’ve built a good life. Now, they’ve got two little ones runnin’ around—Harper and Zeke. Life sure has changed since them college days, but there’s somethin’ about them that just makes ya wanna know more. They’re a team, both on and off the court.
You see, Randi, she played basketball too, back in the day. She was a part of the Iowa Hawkeyes from ’98 to 2001, and now, look at her! She’s coaching women’s basketball. But her and Duez, they been through a lot together. They got married back in 2014, and I reckon they never looked back since. Them two seem to be a good match, always supportin’ each other, whether it’s raising their kids or takin’ on big challenges. Randi’s a woman who can juggle it all, and Duez, he’s right there beside her, takin’ care of things and helpin’ out where he can.
Now, if you ask me, life ain’t always easy when you got little ones. They’ve been through a lot, movin’ the kids from one place to another, tryin’ to make sure the kids grow up happy and healthy. You’d think it’s all glitz and glamour with them bein’ in the public eye and all, but trust me, it ain’t like that. They’ve had their struggles too, just like anybody else. But that’s the thing about them—through thick and thin, they stick together. Their love for each other shines through, and their commitment to their family is something special.
Randi and Duez, they made their home in Iowa City, and they’ve got some good memories there. It was a place where they first met and started their journey together. I guess when you’ve been through all them years together, you don’t forget where you started. That place, Iowa City, it’s home to them. They’ve raised their kids there, and even though the priorities shift as the years go by, that old place still holds a special place in their hearts.
Now, you might not hear about them every day, but they’re always busy with their kids, their work, and their community. Duez, he coaches basketball too, and you better believe he’s puttin’ in the hours, helping the young ones learn and grow. His role as a coach is just as important as anything, and Randi, well, she supports him in that just like he supports her with her own coaching career. It’s a family effort, and it seems like they’re doin’ just fine.
Life sure does change, but one thing that don’t change is the love they have for each other. I reckon that’s somethin’ worth talkin’ about. You see, in a world where folks don’t always stick together, Randi and Duez show us all how it’s done. They’ve made a life for themselves, with their kids, and with their dreams. It’s a reminder that family comes first, no matter what you’re doin’ or where you’re goin’.
