Trying Out That Igons Furled Finger Thing
Alright, so today I decided to finally mess around with this igons furled finger technique folks were talking about. Sounded kinda specific, not just the usual finger stuff. My goal was simple: see if it actually worked differently, maybe get summoned quicker or into specific kinds of games. You know how it is, always chasing a slightly better way to connect for some jolly cooperation.
First thing, booted up the old console. Had to check I even had the right finger item equipped, the Tarnished’s Furled Finger, yeah? Figured this “igons” bit wasn’t a separate item, but maybe a way of using it, or a specific spot. Connection looked okay, NAT type was open enough, shouldn’t be an issue there.
So, I headed over to one of the usual hotspots. You know, right outside that big boss door where everyone’s looking for help. Did the usual routine:
- Found a spot slightly off the main path, thinking maybe this “igons” thing was about being less obvious.
- Popped the Tarnished’s Furled Finger. Got that little golden sign down on the ground. Looked normal enough.
- Then I just… waited. Stood there, watching the phantoms of other players run past.
Honestly, the first few tries? Nothing special. Got summoned once, pretty standard fight, helped the host beat the boss. Felt good, but didn’t feel particularly “igons”, whatever that means. Was it supposed to be faster? More reliable? I wasn’t seeing it.
I started thinking maybe “igons” referred to a specific sequence, like using an emote after placing the sign, or maybe placing it on a particular pattern on the floor. Tried putting my sign right on top of a bloodstain. Nothing. Tried doing a little spin emote after placing it. Felt silly, didn’t change anything. Moved to a different area, one known for PvP invasions, wondering if maybe it was related to that somehow. Put the sign down again. Waited some more.
This time, something slightly different happened. Got summoned into a world with two other cooperators already there. It was chaos, pure madness right from the start. We barely survived, but it was memorable. Still, couldn’t say for sure if that was the “igons” effect or just luck of the draw. The whole session felt pretty much like any other time I’d used the furled finger.
So, What’s the Verdict?
After a good hour or so of trying different spots, different little rituals, I didn’t really find anything concrete about this “igons furled finger” method. My sign got seen, I got summoned a couple of times, had some decent fights. But was it different from just using the finger normally? Nah, not really. Maybe “igons” is just someone’s made-up name for a lucky spot, or maybe I completely misunderstood what it was supposed to be.
End result? Spent an afternoon getting in some co-op, which is never a bad thing. But as for the special “igons” technique… well, I reckon it’s either bunk or I just didn’t figure out the secret handshake. Still, was fun trying to puzzle it out.
