So, next step, I figured I’d try some fan forums. Found a couple dedicated to the Suns and even some general NBA collector groups. Made a post, described the thing as best I could. Asked if anyone remembered it or had seen one.
Got a few replies. Most people were like, “Nah, don’t remember that.” One guy thought I meant a specific mini-basketball they gave out. Nope, wasn’t that. Another suggested maybe it was a regional thing, only given out at one specific game or event. That seemed plausible. Made it feel even harder to track down.
Spent more time scrolling through old forum threads, looking at pictures from games during his time there. Found some cool pictures, reminded me how different the team looked then. But no sign of the mystery item. It was kinda frustrating, felt like chasing a ghost.
Hitting the Streets (Sort Of)
